Wow the location of got Rocks is absolutely perfect. You can hear the river all over the property and even though it's conveniently located and close to a grocery store, you feel isolated. We were visiting for a wedding and I'm so happy I rented here. We were able to share a space with our friends, bring my dogs, cook meals together, and have a nice place for other wedding guests to come enjoy. Everyone who visited was also blown away by the location and a little jealous since many were staying in a hotel instead.
We had a wonderful stay! The house is lovely and well appointed. The outdoor space is great for relaxing after a day of exploring. The house is so close to coffee shops, grocery stores, hiking trails and Grandfather Mt. and it was an easy drive to Boone and Blowing Rock.
House was perfect for a long weekend family of 4. The bed was so comfy! I’d love to know what mattress is on the master bed! Great location to Hawksnest and Beech!
Wonderful setting and beautiful property. It was very comfortable and had more than we needed. If the sun was out, I was in the yard. We’re a little early for leaves on the trees but the views were worth it.
The house was a wonderful place to host Thanksgiving dinner. It was close to family and both the inside and out provided lots of space to hang out. The host was responsive to our questions. I am looking forward to staying there again!
My wife, our elderly dog, and myself really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and it was pet friendly. Our dog is getting older and sometimes has issues with going up and down stairs so we liked that as long as we took him in and out of the back door he only had to do two small steps which helped with getting him in and out of the house. The only issue that we had and it was not really an issue was that the Roku in the living room was missing the power cable, the HDMI cable was connected but the power cable was missing but we just watched the other streaming channels. I would recommend this house to anyone. On our way home after our stay we stopped at High Country Pie in Banner Elk which was about 15 minutes from the house I believe and we both really enjoyed the hand pies that we go from there and wish we had gone there sooner instead of on our way home so we could have tried more of their pies.
Was very comfortable and good for relaxing even if you didn't want to go out that day. Outdoor seating on porch and gazebo and plenty of grounds to explore.
Property was perfect for my family and our dog. It was very clean and comfortable and the location was beautiful. We went to ski Sugar Mountain and found that it was a short 10 minute drive which was perfect. We will definitely stay here again.
