Seashore Rental with Beach Access and Panoramic Sound View
Step into the living room of our Beachside Retreat. Relax and feast your eyes on the panoramic view of Puget Sound, the Seattle skyline, and the Cascade Mountains. If you are up early, enjoy the sunrise. Binoculars are by the window. Look past the porch of our neighboring 1900s home and you might see Mount Rainier in all its glory. You have a good view of the fishing pier, the boat launch, and the picnic tables at the park.
Either sit or stretch out on the queen sized hide-a-bed. Also in the living room are two stuffed chairs. You might watch television or read. The coffee table by the couch is one that raises. This table gives you a convenient place for playing board games, card games, or putting a puzzle together. More games and toys are by request. In the desk for are few office tools like stapler, staple remover, scissors.
The garbage can and recycle container are located by the driveway. Early Wednesday the garbage truck empties the garbage can. The recycle truck comes every other week. The kitchen has a trash container and another is in the bathroom.
You'll find a fully equipped kitchen with oven and range and pans for baking, roasting. Use the microwave, grinder, coffeemaker, toaster, blender, waffle iron or popcorn maker. A charcoal grill or fire pit can be borrowed. Spices are in the cupboard above the microwave.
Under the turquoise sink are the dish soap, rack, scrubbers, sponges, brushes. The pans are in the next cupboard. Broiler pan is below the oven. Many small tools, silverware, and kitchen items are in the drawers. Cutting boards, knife holder, banana hook, paper towel holder, are on the counter. Dishes, serving bowls, mugs, pitchers, cream and sugar, napkin holder, spoon holder and more are found in the cupboards. Groceries can be stored in the cupboards above and to the side of the refrigerator or in it.
Outside is a glass-top picnic table seating four. If you want to use the table umbrella, request it. You can also borrow more seating. On most days ( not the evening of July 4 ) you may use the full yard including the porch swing and fire pit. Expect fireworks and noise that day and evening in our fairly quiet village. Motor boat sounds from the boat launch or noisy geese may be heard in early mornings too. In the summer some fruit, vegetable or herbs may be growing in the garden. We gladly share.
Dress up the dining table with placemats. Two extra table leaves are stored in a space near the microwave, so the table can seat up to six.Let the manager know if you plan to invite others to the rental. We keep track of both parking and cars using the private lane. Overnight guests must be approved ahead of time. The laundromatic is across from McDonald’s or to the right of the roundabout on Bethel on the way to downtown Port Orchard.
In the bathroom shower you may notice having the extra space a curved hotel style rod provides. Take a bath in the pink tub if you prefer. Reach under the counter and you'll find the hair dryer. There is cabinet space below the sink. You'll also find extra paper towels and toilet paper stored here. The mini sewing kit is just behind the mirrored mini sliding door. Cleaning supplies, and both beach towels, bath towels, hand towels, and wash clothes are found in the tall bathroom cabinet. A toilet higher than standard height is easier to use, especially for senior citizens. We hope that little conveniences like night lights, room deodorizer, shampoo and soap will make you feel at home.
Check the linen closet in the hall for dish towels, dish rags, placemats, light bulbs and more sheets and pillow cases.. It is next to the thermostat. Turn the thermostat to the temperature you like. The furnace is electric.
The bedroom wall is completely used up by the queen bed and night stands on each side of the bed, A large chest of drawers is opposite the bed. The closet spans the west side of the room. It has plenty of clothes hangers as well as the broom, dustpan, vacuum cleaner, ironing board, fan and an extra pillow. Extra blankets, pillows are available. The blankets in the living room may be used as pet covers for the furniture, as pets are not allowed on the furniture. Pet owners pay an extra fee.
Beauty inside and out is important. With this in mind, pictures decorate each room and the hall. Silk flower arrangements do not fade. The shrub growing outside under the large window of the living room is a rhododendron, our state flower.

This place & location is a gem. Spotless clean. Spectacular views. The beach is awesome. The host is wonderful. Looking forward to staying here again as it is close to family that we visit.
Had a wonderful stay for 3 days. Loved the peace and quiet and the beautiful views of downtown Seattle. Spent hours just watching the bay and doing small hikes nearby. Margaret was helpful in getting us settled and providing recommendations on things to do. Wonderful stay overall.
This place is amazing! Very well maintained, super close to the water, and the perfect size for our little family. Peggy was super sweet, and we hope to stay here again in the future. Thank you!
My family fully enjoyed our stay here. We spent most of our day in Tacoma and Seattle however the mornings here were spectacular! My husband and kids loved roaming the beach for shells while I watched from the window sipping my coffee. At night we would come back to roam the beach again for more shells and other cool finds. The home was perfect for our needs. The home was fully stocked with whatever you may need which was great as our plan was to cook all of our meals other than lunch. We would absolutely stay again if we weren’t a few weeks away from being over the guest limit.
We had an amazing time spending Christmas at this beautiful home on the beach! The views were breathtaking, the trailer was cozy, clean and very homey. Peggy was an excellent hostess and did everything she could to make out stay memorable. We will be coming back to visit.
The host was wonderful, answering all questions prior to our arrival. The home was clean and well organized for guests. The views were amazing. We did not cook while there, only making coffe. However, there were ample cooking utensils and spices if one wished to eat in. We loved and would visit again in the future.

Thank you, I love sharing our wonderful view. So glad I could speak to you. Be sure to book far enough ahead so you can get the dates you want.
Lovely place to stay for a quiet getaway. We enjoyed exploring some local trails, and took the ferry to Seattle for a day trip. The place was comfortable, clean, and cozy. We would definitely stay here again.
The accommodations were delightful, you felt like you were stepping into the past. The bed was a little soft for my taste but there is the couch available. It was clean and quaint and had a beautiful view of the Puget sound and the Seattle skyline.
Our son, daughter in-law & grandson live about 10 miles away and that is one of many reasons we chose this place. We absolutely love this place. A hidden gem. The view is stunning with beach access. Looking across the water is Seattle. We watched the many ferries cross. It had everything we needed. Very comfortable & clean. The owner is next door and is very kind. We will definitely stay here again.
We definitely enjoyed our stay. The place is very charming and right on the water. Wish we could have stayed longer as it was very relaxing, and the weather was perfect. Beautiful flowers blooming all around in the area.

At this time of year the red rhododendrons bloom. In April you can enjoy tulips. February and March is daffodil time. I love the flowers too.
Beautiful view right outside the window of Seattle skyline and bay. Lots of fishing in the area and the Manchester Pub and Mexican dining next door (carbon Mexican steakhouse ) were phenomenal. Property owner was very sweet and attentive and made sure stay was smooth as could be. She even offered to make us breakfast one day! We will definitely keep this on our list of places to go back to.
Wonderful experience and the host was so nice! She stopped by to make sure everything was to our liking and even told us about some of the places in the area to eat or things to do. She even let us pick apples off the tree in our front yard! The property was perfect for my son myself and my little dog we had everything we could need and then some and of course the location was superb the views of Seattle and Mount Rainier were amazing!

Every day I wake up and check what is happening on the beach. Every night I see the lights of downtown Seattle. I watch the ducks and geese swim, hear the sandpipers or mourning doves calling, the crows and gulls flying and landing in the nearby trees.
I have always enjoyed reading, music, cooking, gardening, and church activities. Our location is about two blocks from the boat launch and Pomeroy Park, and three blocks from the library, and a half mile from Manchester Community Church, which has music I enjoy.
I am retired from teaching six year olds, doing office work, working at a violin shop, and teaching violin and piano students. I am mother of two, and grandmother of four.
Why they chose this property
I 1. The view is panoramic 2. The mobile home is completely furnished 3. Is near library, post office. 4. Rates are reasonable 5. Located on a private driveway 6. Has free covered parking 7. Is located next to a sandy beach 8. Monthly rentals are encouraged. 9. This is an all-season rental. 10. A writer or artist could use enjoy the rental 11. Grandmas and Grandpas may retreat to "home" while visiting their sons or daughters 12. Traffic is nothing like Seattle traffic - When three cars arrive at the same intersection at Manchester, it is probably rush hour. 8. If you own a boat or kayak, it is easy to get it into the water 9. The mobile home was set in place for a dear relative and her husband. They lived there for quite a while. Another relative also used the home. They took good care of it.
