Family getaway

Pat was really easy to work with and available when needed. Being able to have access to yacht club amenities was definitely our highlight. From the pool, hot tub, private beach area and restaurant it made it easy to keep the family occupied especially with our 3 year old and 9 month old. With a short walk to weirs beach and the boardwalk there was no problem with any night life. Would definitely stay again in this same location or any other locations Pat has.

Family trip to the lake

We had an amazing time at Lake Winnipesaukee. This property was in a perfect location with beautiful views of the lake from the front deck and kitchen/dining area. We utilized the Akwa Marina daily and loved having a pool, restaurant, and lake access steps away from our rental. It was a very short walk to town as well. The property owners were very friendly and responsive. We highly recommend this property!

Amazing getaway

We just returned from a wonderful stay at Akwa Marina! With two kids under five, the location and use of the marina was PERFECT for us. Pat was extremely welcoming and super available for any questions. We had a wifi issue that they dealt and resolved immediately. House was really excellent for our needs - spacious, comfortable, and clean. Highly recommend!!

We can not say enough good things about our stay. Pat and Dick were wonderful and attentive when we needed them, they had goodies for us and their house was welcoming and comfortable.The view from the deck was my favorite part of each morning and evening. Dirty! Lots of Spiders!

This was the worst experience I have ever had through VRBO. I have travelled all over the country using VRBO and I have never had a problem before. The house was disgusting with spiders and cobwebs in every corner and behind every curtain. Before flying out home owners were informed that I required High Speed Internet to do my job and the house did not have high speed internet. The homeowners also said all bedrooms had AC and they didn’t, 1 of the rooms was too hot to use. I’ve been wanting to go to New Hampshire for 15 years & I was unable to stay, very upsetting experience as we left 2 hours after arriving & that time was spent cleaning the place and trying to vacuum all the spiders. When I addressed the home owners they said the place was fine. I told them I had photos to prove it and I could send it to them if they wished they then said I was a liar and refused to speak to me let alone return any money. VRBO informed me it was a personal matter and they could do nothing. I would not recommend staying here.

Great location for checking out Laconia

We spent labor day weekend here and had a great time. Walking distance to the little downtown area was nice and the access to the boat club was enjoyable. Laconia itself was a little biker heavy for our tastes, but we really enjoyed visiting out the Kellerhaus, Witches brew, and the town of Meredith. Just spending time on the deck overlooking the lake filled a lot of our time as well

Read the peppery description carefully

This was a lovely property in a perfect location with great amenities such as a pool and hot tub. The owners were helpful. We appreciated their helpfulness and presence on the property, but if you aren’t looking for involved property owners this might not be a good fit for your family. While the property is lovely, two things made it a poor fit for our family. 1) the fact that guests need to supply pillows, sheets, blankets and towels. This was an inconvenience for us because we arrived at the property by air meaning that we had to purchase such things upon arrival and had to leave them behind. There was a Walmart nearby, but this was inconvenient and added about $150 to the cost of our stay 2) The cable is VERY basic. It was more basic then we had expected and did not have any programming for kids. We ended up buying Roku and it all worked out. Both of these things were mentioned in the property description, but just be aware in case you are flying to the location or need more tv services. Still we had a good stay overall, but just read the description carefully to make sure that it will be a good fit for your family.
