Overlooking green fields adjacent to the 18th. century Carmel Mission and a beach beyond "Atherton Cottage" is a house that is bright quiet cozy retreat.This spotless eco-friendly cottage has a comfy king Sleep Number bed with Luxury linens, and is cleaned with organic products. With hand-hewn hickory hardwood & stone floors,Quartz counters & new bath. Also has a "Life Source"- whole house water filter System. Come and be enchanted at Atherton Cottage! The Cottage is set up to accommodate: 2 adults or 4 adults and 1 child comfortably. There is an adult size futon that has a memory foam topper with bedding if needed for an extra guest! The living room Tempurpedic sofa also opens up to a very comfortable King bed with luxury linens,There is an extra charge of $50.00 per person with over two people staying, this charge applies to persons over two years old, per night. Children under two years old are a one time fee of $50.00 and infants under two years old there is no charge.

We loved this cozy hideaway as a base to explore Carmel and the Monterey Peninsula. Atherton Cottage is well appointed, with lovely outdoor nooks and panoramic views. Our host Bill was welcoming and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

We stayed 3 days at the cottage & we had an amazing time! The house is updated and beautiful. We were able to take our dog with us & there was a nice trail nearby that he loved. Downtown Carmel & the beach was super close. Bill was a wonderful host! He gave us directions to some places in town & suggested one of our favorite recommendations for dinner at Bruno’s Market & Deli. 10/10 experience, we felt so lucky to stay here

This is a wonderful place with great outdoor spaces and all the amenities you would want. Kitchen is compact but has everything you need. Everything is high quality and lots of love and thought went into outfitting and decorating this cottage.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Bill was a fantastic host, very accommodating to our needs and gave us some great advice on places we should visit. The deck with loungers was a wonderful place to relax. In the cooler mornings and evenings we loved turning on the fireplaces for some warmth and ambiance. We would definitely stay here again.

Atherton cottage is a great getaway spot. It felt like an oasis while still being close to excellent restaurants and shops. The cottage had plenty of space and the king size bed was much appreciated. There are multiple outdoor patios/balconies, 2 of which have ocean views. Overall it was relaxing and would stay here again.

A great little cottage that is totally private and very cozy. Great space inside and a nice deck to enjoy. Parking is easy, and I love this location as I'm a walker and the wilderness trails are nearby for miles of hiking, plus for me it's an easy walk to the beach and the Mission. Great quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend this cottage and will definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time at the beautifully remodeled, impeccably decorated, pet friendly charming Atherton cottage. We loved the private location, which is within walking distance to the Mission Trail Park, Carmel Mission and a very short drive to the Carmel Beach and town.The cottage has all the comforts of home from the abundance of cookware and pet dishes to the most comfortable king-sized bed.

Cozy Cottage with great location!

This property was perfect for us! The cottage was well stocked with all the necessities and the master bedroom was spacious! Super comfortable bed and a lot of natural light. Bill was great and very accommodating! We loved our stay and will be back!

The fireplace was very nice while we watched t.v. in the living room. The kitchen had everything we needed as I cooked breakfast each morning. The bathroom had it all. Including, a newly done shower. The bedroom has a huge t.v. fireplace and nice big bed. The outside landscaping is immaculate with water features, staties and lighting. Five Stars

The Hardwood floors are of hand scraped Hickory Pecan, there are two fireplaces, custom lighting as well as remodeled Bath with Glass pencil tile Shower over Tub.A Large Private deck with coushion Chaise Lounges, a separate Private deck with table & chairs as well as a BBQ. Atherton Cottage has it's own private parking driveway with lighted brick walkway to the front door. Also included is a full size stacked washer & Dryer.

At "Atherton Cottage" you are within walking distance to the "Carmel Mission Trail Park" that is a walking trail to Downtown Carmel-By-The-Sea with plenty of Shops and Restaurants as well as the Beautiful sandy beaches of Carmel. It is only a few minutes drive to the Beautiful State Park known as "Point Lobos" located right on the Pacific Ocean! There are numerous Wine Tasting rooms as well as Vineyards within a short drive,as well as the Finest Golf Courses in the Country. Just 10 minutes away is the Well known Monterey Fishermans Wharf and Steinbeck Cannery Row with many great shops & restaurants!
