I grew up in Lyman, just up the street from me and Tammi's vacation rental. After I finished college me and the family move back to Wayne County and lived there for 9 years. We would love to still be living there, but we had to move to Whiterocks Utah for work related reasons. I love the area surrounding Lyman, because there is so many unique areas to see that it is hard to decide what to do.

Why they chose this property

This property always interested me. Every time I rode past on my bicycle I always thought it would be neat to live there. My childhood dream was realized when me and my wife were able to buy this home. This home also come with a history of my ancestors and the community they lived in. We are simple folk, meaning we like the simple life and enjoy the outdoors. The cabin feel of this home with its high ceiling and wood paneling helps me feel more connected to the landscape. Every chance I get to return home, I feel like i'm greeted by a dog that hasn't seen his owner for a while.

What makes this property unique

Some of the benefits of this home I really find enjoyable are:
The big windows in the kitchen that you can look out while enjoying your breakfast. There is also lots of counter space. The living room is really big, you and your family and friends can all sit together. The outdoor space is really enjoyable. There is a mini orchard in the yard. Some of the fruit trees are really old but are able to produce some wonderful fruit. I use to hang my hammock between the cottonwood trees and take a nap on a warm Sunday afternoon. In the springtime the lilac bushes will bloom and it is a beautiful sight and the smells are wonderful. The large cottonwood trees in the yard provide a lot of shade in the summertime. I also love to open the windows at night in the summer. Lyman has a great climate it is never too hot in the summer where you would need an air conditioned home. It can get a little hot during the summer days but with the windows open at night it can cool off the house. I love the rural area our house is located in. I have also enjoyed being close to the mountains and the desert. Being here, both place are a short drive away. Of course, I miss living here. But I hope my guests can find our home as enjoyable as I do.
