Best stay in pine

We had 2 families with kids. The kids loved the playroom and outdoor space. The adults loved the variety of balconies. The house was well kept and super spacious even with all 8 of us.

They advertise air hockey, it does not work. There is a gas grill there but the racks were broken and you couldnt cook on it. Not enough towels for 9 people for 3 days. Did not reapond to if there were additional towels. They did come pick up the trash once during our 3 night 4 day stay.

Lots of deck space

We really enjoyed our time here. The property was well maintained and very nice. Lots of deck space allowed us to be outside most of the time, no matter the time of day. The kids, including the big ones, really enjoyed the game room and we had a mean air hockey match off. The owners were very receptive. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the fridge didn't work but we were able to put stuff in the freezer and at least keep it cold. If that was fixed it would definitely by 5 stars. We will stay again for sure!

A fun weekend retreat

My friends and I had a great time up at the Elk Crossing cabin. All the amenities were great, while it was unfortunate the air hockey table was under maintenance, we had plenty of fun playing foosball and brought some of our own board games and consoles. The many stairs were quite a welcome workout, but overall the layout of the cabin was unique and fun. I am very glad we were able to find a place with so many beds and additional services for our needs. In the summer day the place can warm up quite a bit, and we wish there were curtains for the sunniest part of the day and perhaps at night, as you can easily see inside the cabin, but otherwise the place is very secluded and neighbors seem very friendly.Plenty of little shops and small eateries are nearby too for groceries and knick-knacks.

Lots of Elk

We had a wonderful 3 nights at Elk Crossing. It’s a cute place. Our favorite spot was the deck off of the kitchen where we enjoyed the scenery and wildlife. We saw so many elk and some deer on and near the property. We walked and biked and had a great time, and were thankful we could bring our two fur babies with us. The location is so good. The bathroom towels were such high quality. We would definitely stay again.

Great vacation

There were 8 of us in our group, 4 of which where children. We loved that there was so much space for us to be and it was nice to have the game room downstairs so we could send the kids down to play and we could relax. We loved the location being so close to town and it was nice and quiet. The owners were very kind and quick to respond. We would definitely rent this place again.

Family Time

We had the best time. The house was beautiful and cozy. It was spacious and had everything we needed. We all enjoyed the game room, but having another level for the adults to sit and relax was convenient as well. The host was super nice and helpful. We went hiking, crawfishing and antique shopping. The kids got up early to watch the deers walk by. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Perfect for multi-family/friends

My family and in-laws enjoyed the house very much. The location is beautiful. The set up of the house was great as the bedrooms were spaced out throughout the 3 story house. There were also cribs and pack n plays which made it very convenient for brining my toddler and infant.

Host profile image
Barbara and Michael have been going to Pine for over 20 years first with their young children, and now their grown kids and grandchildren. They have more great friends in Pine than they have in the Phoenix area where they have lived for over 40 years. The people in Pine are terrific and very friendly. Barbara and Michael love to be outdoors, motorcycling, off-road riding, fishing, camping, hunting, visiting with friends, and home improvement projects among other activities. Barbara is also an avid quilter and crocheter. She takes their grandchildren to school every morning, just to see them for 15 minutes each day. Barbara is in the Legal field and Michael is in the HR and Payroll field. They decided to purchase a vacation rental home and completely renovate it as a way to eventually retire in Pine. When Michael and Barbara travel, they have used vacation rentals for many years, traveling to Italy, Belize, Norway, Jamaica, Bahamas, Mexico, and other amazing destinations. We hope you have a wonderful time in our newly renovated cabin.
