Sunrise Cove - 5 Bedroom, 4 Queen, 6 Twins plus pull out Queen sofa. Good for Families with kids. Stay Connected or Completely Unplug! Enjoy a welcome basket that includes a bag of fresh Colombian coffee that is a Private Label made just for guests at Sunrise Cove. And enjoy the Free high speed wifi.

Wide Open Cove at the Main Lake (all the views of Main Lake without the boat traffic). Not hidden back in a narrow or shallow cove and no bridges to go under for Main Lake. Enjoy the FLAT LOT and DEEP WATER (8 feet at the dock) where you can swim at the dock or take the Kayaks (3) or Stand Up Paddle board out for a leisurely paddle! Or sit on the deck and watch the kids at the dock. Enjoy the firepit on chilly nights. Gas grill on the back deck. Our house is in a great walkable and friendly neighborhood. Open floor plan. Family area has an open concept with a 4K Home Theater System and has a great view of the lake with our floor to ceiling windows, and a gas log fireplace. Kitchen with breakfast bar; dining area opens to a relaxing screened porch, plenty of seating for the whole family. There is even an office set up with a large desk and wireless printer for your use. Lakeside master bedroom on the main level with a Queen and a Twin bed has a TV and opens to a covered deck. Upstairs has a Second Master with Queen bed and a Twin bed; 2 additional bedrooms each with a Queen Bed; additional bonus sleeping area with 2 Twin Beds and 2 Twin Trundle beds, this room also has a large TV, PlayStation3, and Foosball; board games. Pull out Queen couch in downstairs front room. Renter will have access to the very roomy double garage with an additional refrigerator. There is room on both sides of dock for renters to tie up a boat.

The house had wonderful views of the lake, it was so amazing to wake up and watch the sunrise on the lake. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Tons of space for our family and My sister in law and her family. We had 8 kids in total and there was plenty of room for everyone. We will all remember this spring break. My husband is already trying to plan another trip to Sunrise Cove.

We really enjoyed swimming and fishing off the dock, coffee on the screened in porch and a bonfire on our last night. The location was perfect for boating and swimming.

Great stay

The house was very nice. From the moment we pulled into the driveway the property met our expectations. My family and friends stayed during spring break and we had a fantastic experience. The home was clean with great common areas and kid friendly game room. The office came in very handy for me as I still had work to do on vacation. We had fires every night at the fire pit and made full use of the boat house for dock fishing and parking our boat. We would stay again and I would recommend this to others.

Another Amazing Weekend!!!

We always love our weekend stay at Sunrise Cove. The home is beautiful. The lake views, especially sunrises, are spectacular! And there's so much to do during the stay. We had an issue with finding the kayak seats, left a message on VRBO, and instantly received a response from the property manager who helped us find them. That's excellent service! We had a friend catch his first fish...a large channel catfish. And my son caught his first bass. But best of all is just relaxing on the dock sharing time with good friends and family. Thank you Greg & Karen for sharing your home once again.

Enjoyed our shortened stay

We arrived on Saturday to thunderstorms and power outages, however the home generator ran for over 24 hours, keeping us comfortable. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane/Storm Debbie and impending poor weather, we left for home on Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning. We enjoyed a pontoon boat on Monday, and would have loved to enjoy more of the beautiful home and location, especially the lake-maybe next time! The house was beautiful-

We Love Sunrise Cove!

This was our second year, and despite mother nature trying to ruin it with rain and cooler temps, we still had an amazing time. The house is beautiful, comfortable and offers numerous fun activities. But the highlight to me is always the boathouse and dock. Perfect waters for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing. I found myself many times just sitting on the dock completely relaxed and enjoying the amazing water view. We plan to be back next year. Thanks for sharing your home with us again!

Beautiful Spot!

We loved the house and property! It was very comfortable for our group. We appreciated being able to dock our boat and use the kayaks. Our only criticism is that the pantry and refrigerator had crumbs and spills that were not cleaned up prior to our arrival. A quick wipe down took care of that. If you plan on cooking a lot, you may want to bring sharp knives and serving platters. Very nice! Beautiful sunrises.

5th family vacation

Stellar communication with the home owners and their manager. Super easy to unload and load thru the garage. Lots of space to be close together or get alone time too. Perfect little inlet for us to be able to play from the dock with floats and the water was plenty deep to jump off the dock and easy for our friends to bring their boat over. The home stayed cool with lots of ceiling fans, plenty of blankets for those that don't enjoy the bit of chill after some sunshine.Love the way the sheets and towels are basketed to get what you need. Laundry and all appliances worked great and a bonus of the second fridge. All kids loved the paddle boards and the fire pit too!Of all the houses we have rented for our time at Lake Gaston this one is for sure a contender for next year if we are welcomed back.Thanks a bunch for sharing your home away from home.

All in the Family

This is a huge and beautiful property. It accommodated 14 persons comfortably. The family loved the openness of the house and the view. The only thing that caused a little snip was the weather but we turned it around and made it our pajama day. There were enough bathrooms so that no one was late for our 9:00am take off for our homegoing service. Everyone said that they loved the property. There were a couple of minor nicks but the property manager assured me that they would be taken care of. Property manager was very responsive and nice.

Beautiful cove with main lake views

Beautiful well equipped home. We really enjoyed the deep water cove with main lake views from the dock. We got a lot of use out of stand up paddle board. The fire pit was great and fire wood was provided which was very convenient and appreciated. Little welcome gift was a great touch and we loved the little packet which changed the color of the fire. My only complaint was the construction next door Monday thru Friday which we were not aware of and the garbage pail not being large enough for a weeks stay. I needed to take my additional garbage with me upon check out. Still a great property and would definitely rent again. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Great Family Vacation

The house was simply amazing. It was large enough for everyone (we had 6 adult family members) to have space but still feel close. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare our meals. The beds were comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the dock, from fishing to sunbathing. The dock had a great sound system, good lighting, a refrigerator to allow for drinks at the dock without having to drag a cooler to the dock. The kayaks and paddle board were used everyday. One day of rain but with the beautiful large windows on the back made for a wonderful view of the rain on the water. Even "stuck" inside during the rain, we were able to not be on top of each other and enjoy the day. Definitely would go back! So hard to leave at the end of our stay.

If you’re looking for quiet and peaceful, Gaston Lake and Sunrise Cove is the place to go. This is unlike most resort area lakes. Many businesses closed Monday through Wednesday. Residents and renters appear on Thursdays and the lake is a little bit busier on the weekends, House had plenty of space for two families. Our adult children loved the kayaks and paddle boards. So many useful kitchen items, including crockpot and griddle. We brought our own, but were glad to have two of each! Our grown boys, all Eagle Scouts, enjoyed the small grove of trees where they were able to pitch their hammocks. My son slept outside all week (he said it was more comfortable than his bed). All mattresses seem a bit hard for our liking. My 89-year-old dad enjoyed the air mattress on the sofa bed. We enjoyed morning coffee on the dock with daily visits from the great blue Heron. We rented a pontoon from the North Point Marina just across the lake. Packed a picnic lunch and some games and spent the day at 3 Mile Island. Also try Goat Island with its own dock and bathrooms. One rainy day and a little overcast but perfect lake temps. Thank you to the owners for a great stay!

We are a military family with Greg's service of 20 years in the Air Force. We retired in Virginia and always look forward to the time we spend in North Carolina at our Lake Gaston Home. It is truly a wonderful place to relax as a couple or to reconnect with our extended family and friends.

Why they chose this property

Before you find the perfect house at the lake, you have to find the perfect lot with the perfect water. We found all of them in one. Deep water with room to swim at the dock without main lake boat traffic or constant waves. But also not down in a narrow cove. We have a wide open area around our dock with main lake views and deep water. We have high speed internet even at the dock so you can stream your favorite tunes or work on that spreadsheet if you have to. This house is great for families with kids. There is a separate upstairs bonus room for the kids to watch tv or play games. There is also plenty of outdoor play space in the front yard as well as the backyard with dock close by. House is located in a quiet & safe neighborhood with very little street traffic, which is great for walking or going for a jog.

What makes this property unique

Boathouse & dock just steps away from the house, so you don't have to take a long walk to get to the water. Very convenient.
