About this property

Ocean City Escape - 7 Steps from the Sand!

The Tropicana is a PERFECT spot for families with the private area protected by the dunes, a GREAT spot for football games or cornhole...Or a great spot for the kids to play while you have a cocktail on the deck! It's a common occurrence for families…kids of all ages…to have pick-up games in the large dune-protected "sand box" in front of the condo. We think one of the best features of our place is that it is seven steps down to the sand!

In addition to FANTASTIC beach views and easy beach access, our place offers a full kitchen (NEW APPLIANCES INSTALLED NOVEMBER 2020!), sleeper sofa, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, TVs with cable, DVD and WiFi. The condo is located on 79th street near terrific shopping and restaurants. When you finally come in off the beach, there are many fun things to do in and around Ocean City and you are close to Rehoboth Beach, Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island – or just enjoy the view from the deck.

We've also found it a perfect spot for an overnight escape for two - or a long weekend. (Although I confess we've not been able to use it for a long weekend for it sure sounds like a great idea!)

A FEW FAQs:
CHECK-IN TIME:
You may check in AFTER 3 p.m. In order to allow us time to have the unit properly
cleaned and ready for you, please do not request early occupancy.

CHECK-OUT TIME:
Please check out PROMPTLY AT 10 A.M. so the property can be readied for the next guest.
Please leave the unit as you found it with the furniture arranged the same way, no food in the
refrigerator, windows and doors locked, beds made and dishes cleaned and put away. We cannot be
responsible for any items left in the unit.
Tenants are responsible for the property until all keys have been collected.

PETS: Pets are not allowed in this unit.

CHARCOAL GRILLS:
Fire Ordinance: No grills are allowed in any multiple dwelling unit building or on decks, balconies, etc.

PARKING: One designated parking spot - others are first-come, first-served. Boat trailers are not permitted at the condos; you will have to contact a marina for storage.

PERSONAL NEEDS:
Please be sure to bring your own personal towels, linens and paper
items. The bed sizes are listed here:

Nice little spot to stay

We had 3 adults and one teenager and had plenty of room. We were able to make dinners and enjoyed the outside seating. Our neighbors were quiet and friendly and we had plenty of room on the beach. We would stay here again.

September Golf Weekend

Oceans Calling 2023

We stayed at Kim’s place for Oceans Calling in Oct 2023. It was perfect for my wife and I. Great communication, easy check in, clean house, zero issues for 3 nights. Great location and beach access.

Great location, everything you need right there!

Stayed for the week with my family of five. Condo was ideal for us. The location was perfect. Beach was right behind the condo with a private beach area in between that you can sit out, play cornhole, wiffle ball or other games. Restaurants were within walking distance and the boardwalk wasn’t far at all. Kim was very responsive to all my questions. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed for the week. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again!

week at the beach

really nice location, plenty of parking, super short walk to the beach, nice porch. enjoyed the instant-on hot water shower so much i'm thinking of installing one in my home. only complaint was lack of cook ware, only two pots with a single lid and two frying pans that were so beat up or warped they were unusable. not a big deal as we picked one up for $20 at local store but will bring my own next time.

The location is perfect for this condo being directly on the beach. The patio is not private and has a very bright light outside that shines into condo even with curtains drawn. The beds were probably the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. All told the condo could use some updating (starting with mattresses) and cleaning.

Location good but dirty condo

Only good thing is that you’re right off the beach. It feels uncomfortable inside. Lot of dust under beds. Dead bugs. Carpet is filthy. We had to buy a mattress because it was so uncomfortable to sleep on what they had. We also had insect bites everywhere on our bodies. My son has multiple bites from something. I loved the view and access to beach. I felt very uncomfortable because it was so dirty and I had itching from something. The cleaning there is bare minimum and carpets are stained. I wanted to support a small business but this is why I always rent from Hilton and Marriot. I do not recommend this property unless you have low hygienic and clean requirements. The owner was very responsive but my suggestion is to do better by consumers and invest in upgrades of mattress. Floors. And furniture. This was disappointing for the amount you pay. I’m sorry for the bad review.

The ocean was visible and but the beach was not. But the sound of waves crashing as I sat on the deck was so enjoyable. I would stay here again for sure. The place was smaller than pictures let on, however it was perfect for my son and I to come and get away, wish we could have came for a week.

This is my 3rd year in this Condo - the condo is always clean and new carpets were installed. The people in the other condos were quiet and thoughtful. It his situated near great places to eat and shop, And it is 7 steps from the beach!

Kim was great at communicating all pertinent details, and very quick responding to me. The location is fantastic! The condo was clean, and met our needs. There were an ample amount of beach chairs, and a convenient beach locker to store everything. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Stay and Location

Excellent location and everything you need

We had an excellent stay. The condo was right on the beach on the ground floor. It had everything we needed for a 2 night stay and being on the ground floor was very convenient for my elderly mom. The views of the ocean is somewhat hidden as there is a sand dune in front of the house but access to the beach was very convenient.

You cannot beat the location here. The on-beach location was so convenient and nice. The property manager was very helpful and kind with my many questions. It wouldve been nice to have a few necessities provided (toilet paper, paper plates, paper towels, etx.) but maybe that is not the norm. We would recommend!

Overall Good Stay

Property location and beach access is top notch- literally steps to the dunes just outside the beach. This was wonderful for our young children. Condo is a bit dated- could use a fresh coat of paint, inside shower curtain was really stained and needs to be replaced. One of the curtains to the sliding glass door was stained with something as well. The condo was overall a bit small for our family of 5 and the bedroom with the bunk beds is bigger than the bedroom with the queen size bed. Might want to hire some new cleaners- there were still some food crumbs in the kitchen, and the beds had some crumbs and some hairs...Had a good stay- my kids loved the place.

Great family vacation!!

Our girls ages 2 and 5 had a blast! The location was perfect, right on the water for any last minute potty breaks. The condo was clean and had a big open living room space for the girls to play while we were inside. Check in was super easy and the owner was so responsive and kind. I would highly recommend this spot for families. There’s an ice cream shop right across the street and the water park is a quick 5 min drive! So fun!
