About this property

Waterfront home on Lake Michigan with views of St Helena Island Lighthouse

This is a two bedroom home located on the Straits of Mackinac, Lake Michigan. This house is in a quiet residential neighborhood, but private, with only one house close next door. The deck and back yard facing the waterfront. All amenities including WiFi, washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen, 12 cup coffee pot, toaster, air conditioning (in season will be installed in windows) and small portable tabletop charcoal grill are available. There is a fire pit on the beach front property to the east of the house. Location is 5 miles west of the Mackinac bridge on Gros Cap Rd, with views of St Helena Island Lighthouse and from the shore, you get views of the south end of the Mackinac Bridge. The beach here is rocky, but water accessible for swimming; water shoes are recommended. Sandy dunes are located approximately 5 miles west of the house, for all day sunbathing and swimming. Located within 5 miles of Mackinac Island Ferry Boats, many restaurants and tourist shopping. Also, close to hiking trails and snowmobile trails. We have some of the most incredible sunsets.

We were here for the annual antique tractor crossing of the Mackinaw bridge. The home was clean and the views are spectacular! Communication was amazing. Thank you for sharing your home with the best view of the bridge with amazing sunsets.

Perfect cottage for a couple. House was exceptionally clean, Nicole was a wonderful host. We had everything we needed for a mini vacation. I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage on the water. Absolutely beautiful views!

This lakefront home is beautiful and is situated on the Straights of Mackinac. It is a perfect property for visiting Mackinac Island and not far from the nearby ferries needed to get there. It is meticulously clean and well maintained. Rest and relaxation are felt the moment you pull in the driveway! We would love to visit again!

This was our first experience renting a Vrbo, and it was WONDERFUL! Everything promised and SO much more! How do you capture the lapping of Lake Michigan waves, awesome sunsets, a comfortable, clean, quiet setting, complete with a view of Mackinaw Bridge & St. Helena Island lighthouse! We were very blessed to stay in such a great place. Our hosts kept us up-to-date on our stay, and check-in & out was easy. Staying here was a dream! Early morning coffee on the deck watching ships pass by, along with gulls and other water birds...perfect start to the day! Thank you, Matt & Nicole, for sharing your beautiful lake house with us.

it was a very nice place plenty of room for us great view of the Mackinac Bridge surprised they didn't have a picture of that on there thing it was me and the wife two of her friends and then the grandkids plenty of room for all of us would recommend it to anyone
