The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking, not to mention the ease of access. We took advantage of the kayaks and canoe multiple times, enjoyed a fire one evening even though it was raining, and spent a day hiking nearby at Ricketts Glen. Couldn't have been a better spot for a getaway with friends.
Lovely cottage facing a picturesque lake. Even though neighbours' houses are close enough, the property layout gives privacy. Neighborhood is quiet and secluded. We enjoyed our short 3 night stay, hiking and/or kayaking by day and gathering around large table for tea or games by nights. Would do it again.
We had a great stay at this lakeside property, and even though it's in a small neighborhood it feels very private and we rarely came in contact with other people (and when we did they were very nice). Easy access to the lake, plenty of room to spread out for lawn games and a great firepit. House can get a little warm, but otherwise it was comfortable (and if there's anything you're picky about make sure to bring your own, you can only expect so much). Great communication with the host and all questions were answered quickly. Would recommend and would stay again!
I came with my family and two young kids who loved it. Easy drive to a number of state parks in the area. Every day, we had a bonfire, fished, grilled, and used the canoes/kayaks (literally carried them a few feet across the street). It was so easy to spend time outdoors and lots of quality time with family. Linens, laundry, and lots of kitchen equipment made settling in simple. We do recommend getting groceries in Wilkes-Barre or nearby towns beforehand. Food and supplies are all about a 20-30 minute away in any direction.
The house was excellent. Great location and our family really enjoyed the games and boats that were included! If we are back in the area, no need to look anywhere else.
Had a great past weekend stay at this place! Lily Lake is literally steps away and the bonfire in the front of the house is an amazing touch. Very cozy, clean, spacious house. The host is very responsive. Lots of room to hangout. Thanks!
