Penny's Pottery and Art in Stone Antonio Fazio are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Dingle Distillery and Dingle Pitch & Putt Course. Louis Mulcahy Pottery and Kingdom Falconry are also worth visiting. Windsurfing and sailing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and horse riding nearby.
Old farmhouse refurbished as a holiday home with magnificent views of Dingle Bay, Skellig Rocks and the Atlantic. Four bedrooms, sleeping 8. €400-600 per week. Excellently situated for exploring the Dingle Peninsula and surrounding Kerry countryside.
The Dingle Peninsula has a lot to offer. Dingle Town (12km) has plenty of pubs and restaurants to suit most tastes. There is traditional Irish music and dancing for the energetic; and some of the finest seafood to be found in Ireland.
Also in the area there are pottery and craft stores, one of which offers the opportunity to test your own pottery skills! Excellent golf courses, sandy beaches with shore angling, and bike hire is available; as is horse-riding. There are many archaeological sites in the west of the peninsula with plenty of walks linking them, most notably the Dingle Way. The property overlooks the impressive Iron Age Dunbeg Fort.
The house itself has four bedrooms (3 double, 1 twin), and is able to sleep ten. An infant’s cot is also available.
The living room boasts an open coal / peat fire, with the house also having storage heating. There is a large, walled front garden with fantastic views and a private drive up to the side of the house. Worth a special mention is the Stone House restaurant and bar, which is a short walk from the house.
The house offers the opportunity to stay within easy reach of the Dingle peninsula’s renowned tourist attractions; whilst retaining a quiet and idyllic setting overlooking the expanse of the Atlantic Ocean.
