Hello Thomas, and thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.California has had a series of winter storms this year and the beach sand gets washed in and out periodically and it is unpredictable. Unless it's stormy or times of high surf/tides, the sand is usually there. There are photos on the listing that show the beach at different stages but we will add language to the listing so it is more clear for future guests. We do not allow employee access during guest stays unless it's an emergency or requested service by the guest. Our automated lock system keeps a log of entries into the home and we don't have a record of any unauthorized entry during your stay. Could it have possibly been the tech servicing the pool and spa in the courtyard? The guest information binder does notate that they come once a week for regular service. This concern wasn't mentioned to us during your pre-departure call so if you would be so kind as to message us with details, that would be most helpful. We truly try to make sure all of our guests have a wonderful experience so we do hope you will plan a return visit sometime. Thank you, Stephanie and the Team at Bluewater
