About this property
Bunker Bayhouse Your Ideal Escape by the Beach
Surrender to the beauty of Bunker Bay at this exceptional home on one of WA’s most pristine beaches. Architect-designed and tucked within a small gated enclave behind the dunes, it offers both seclusion and style. Step outside and follow your private boardwalk straight to the crystal clear waters. Spend the day swimming, paddling in the provided kayaks, or boogie boarding in the gentle waves. One end of the beach offers toddler-friendly rock pools, while the other has two powerful surf breaks.
Bunker Bay sits at the end of a peninsula beneath the Cape Naturaliste lighthouse, close to the Dunsborough town centre. Just metres from the sand, it’s perfectly positioned for barefoot morning strolls, long lunches by the ocean, with full access to neighbouring Pullman Resort’s premium facilities—including a year-round heated 25-metre pool, twin tennis courts (with racquets provided and balls available from the resort), a gym, and bar and dining options. Just a two-minute stroll along the shore, or a short wander through the bush path, takes you to Ilma Beach House—an award-winning, Mediterranean-inspired spot for dining or a morning coffee with panoramic water views.
Inside, a light-filled living area features a curved ceiling and wraparound windows that frame the surrounding trees, anchored by a wood fire for cooler nights. The kitchen comes fully equipped with modern appliances and a Nespresso machine—ideal for morning coffee before a beach day. This central space flows into a covered outdoor dining area and open verandah overlooking a private paperbark wetland reserve, home to native wildlife including quendas, ringtail possums, kangaroos, frogs, ducks, and birds.
The house is designed with groups in mind, offering three ensuite king bedrooms, each opening onto its own private courtyard. A fourth bathroom with laundry facilities downstairs and a spacious family king bedroom upstairs provide additional flexibility and comfort.
Air conditioning and ceiling fans in all bedrooms and the living area ensure ultimate comfort. A secure double garage and additional driveway parking for up to four vehicles provide added convenience.
Please note: Wi-Fi is not available at this property.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire house to yourselves with access to shared resort facilities. Please make yourselves at home!
Bunker Bay sits at the end of a peninsula beneath the Cape Naturaliste lighthouse. Apart from the resort and a small cluster of holiday homes, its neighbours include Eagle Bay Brewery, Wise Winery, Meelup Farmhouse, and Eagle Bay Olives. Just ten minutes’ drive through jarrah forest and farmland lies the town of Dunsborough.
A short stroll from the property brings you to the dunes, where relaxed beachfront dining combines fresh, locally sourced ingredients with stunning ocean views. Within the Pullman Resort, Other Side of the Moon offers modern Australian dishes showcasing seasonal produce against a backdrop of sweeping coastal vistas. In nearby Dunsborough, standout dining includes Blue Manna Bistro for premium seafood, Yarri Restaurant + Bar for native flavours, Occy’s for casual fare, and Palmer Wines for vineyard fine dining.
The bay itself is spectacular—a broad, north-facing sweep of beach backed by bush, with only a few houses discreetly peeking over the trees. It’s the last sheltered bay beyond Eagle Bay before the coastline turns rugged, with west-facing beaches and dramatic cliffs. Just five minutes away by car, or a rewarding hike along coastal trails, you’ll find the famous Sugarloaf Rock and the start of the Cape to Cape Walk—keep an eye out for migrating whales in season.
Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
School Leavers: We do not accept any school leavers bookings at any time of the year.
Exclusive Escapes wishes you an enjoyable vacation but we also ask for you to show consideration to the neighbours with respect to noise, especially after the hours of 10pm. Please be aware that noise complaints are a breach of our terms and conditions and may result in forfeit of your bond and / or possible immediate eviction from the property.
