We spent a few days at this property while looking for a flat to buy in Edinburgh. This home was in one of the neighborhoods that we were interested in. It is a stunning home overlooking beautiful gardens out both the front and the back. It is very tastefully decorated, quiet and well equipped. It just couldn’t have been a better stay for us.
We spent five nights at Donna’s absolutely lovely property and could not have been more pleased! Clean, quiet, beautifully furnished and charming. Located perfectly within walking distance from everything. I cannot thank Donna enough for allowing us to reside at her place! Would absolutely stay here again.
Sincerely, Susan and Natalie
The whole experience was wonderful! Donna greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment, which was beautiful, very spacious and clean. It is located on a nice quiet street, just a 5 minute walk to the Haymarket train station and the buses / trams. We would definitely stay here again!

2 weeks in Edinburgh
I have spent a lot of time in VRBO rentals and this will always be one of my all-time favorites. This is a special place in and of itself--the large rooms, the restoration, views--everything. The flat has been updated in all of the ways that tend to be important to westerners--beautiful bath, comfortable bed, first rate kitchen. The flat is also in a perfect location--a quiet street but close to everything. The owners were friendly, helpful without being imposing. My favorite aspect of the flat was the feeling of spaciousness. My husband and I have been traveling in the UK for 6 weeks, and, despite being a 1 bedroom, it easily allowed for separate spaces. As someone who was working while visiting, there were comfortable chairs for reading and writing. A truly memorable stay.

Beautifully presented, light and spacious in very good position.
Very comfortable apartment with quality fittings. Windows front and back with garden outlook and good light all day, good quality seating and bed. Arrival very friendly and lots of useful basic ingredients in the kitchen and bathroom products. Highly recommended for a short or longer stay with added bonus of key access to private central crescent garden in an atttactive area of Edinburgh.

A perfect place for an Edinburgh stay.
We have had a string of fine experiences through VRBO, and this one did not disappoint. The apartment is spacious and quiet, with high ceilings and lots of light through windows front and back. The living room is large and has been elegantly renewed (not remodeled), with wood panelling finished in light tones. The views from the living room in front and the kitchen and bedroom behind are full of delight. The apartment stands on a crescent-shaped street which is matched with another crescent street beyond it. In the space between the two crescents lies a verdant park beautifully landscaped. It's one of the private parks one finds in London (where they are generally square, not oblong) and elsewhere in Edinburgh--private, but not to you, since the apartment comes with the key. From the windows in back can be seen two small, well manicured gardens, cared for by the people who live on the ground floor. You can't enter them, but viewing them is a treat. Turning to practical matters, the kitchen must have been refreshed very recently indeed. It's fully equipped with modern appliances and shares the apartment's general feeling of spaciousness. The same is true of the bath.
This apartment isn't quite in the thick of things, but it's close, a bit west of the New Town. A fifteen-minute walk takes you to Princes Street. It's at most a ten-minute walk to Haymarket, the next stop on the railway after Waverley Station, the main station in Edinburgh. Buses and the new tram are readily available, and we found the service quick and comprehensive.
The owners are friendly. They are proud of the apartment, as well they might be. They're genuinely interested in helping to make your stay in Edinburgh pleasant and rewarding, which it was for us. Our thanks to them for providing us with lodgings that were ideal.

Great experience
The Flat was welcoming, clean, cheerful , and spacious. One could walk into the city, however the busses are only a city block away and they come frequently. Get to know the schedules and have correct change when boarding any bus. There is a small grocery store next to the closest bus stop. Donna and her husband were accommodating and helpful. Great vacation!!

The best of everthing
What an incredible Georgian home... The interior of the flat is beautifully designed and the view of St. Mary's church from the bedroom window takes your breath away. The kitchen is modern and up to date as well as the beautiful bath. Comfortable touches everywhere and a quiet neighborhood. Donna is there to help and she and her family are a delight. The city of Edinburgh (during the Fringe) was fabulous and we enjoyed all the City had to offer...it was great to come 'home' to this cozy, comfortable home! We will be back!

West End Gem!
I don't think we have ever had a more beautiful city-scape view to wake up to each day. This flat is perfectly located in the West End, just minutes to the Haymarket station and all modes of transportation. Shop at a market and eat in or choose from endless restaurant options. (Breakfast at the Coates Cafe is highly recommended!) This flat is perfectly appointed with up-to-date amenities. The flat offers a quiet, central location for easy sightseeing trips - far from the crush of tourists in Old Town. Our hosts, Donna and Adrian, were friendly and very responsive to any questions during our week and prior to our stay. We so enjoyed our stay in this wonderful flat and hope to return soon!

Perfect location flat
Located in quiet West End of town near eveything. HAymarket trAin station 5 minute walk. From there explore Stirling and St. ANdrews. The flat is 19th century with 21st century amenities. Very bright interior with a park in front. Young owners very nice and accomodating. They even stopped by to let us back in when I lock myself out👌. Highly recommended!

Perfect place to stay in Edinburgh
After week of touring the west coast of Scotland and staying in B & B's of varying quality, it was heavenly to spend almost a week in this exceedingly beautiful apartment that is perfectly located on a quiet crescent just on the edge of New Town. We were able to walk everywhere from this location. The apartment itself is perfectly appointed, including a washing machine (which we desperately needed after two weeks in the UK). Donna's hospitality was the best we have experienced with VRBO so far. We recommend this listing enthusiastically!!

The apartment was beautiful, comfortable ,& supplied with everything we needed for our stay .
The location of the apartment was perfect, on a quiet street with a park across the street and a view of St Mary's cathedral out our bedroom window. We had a car, but train and tram stations were near by. The owners were so nice and accommodating and the apartment was supplied with everything we needed including travel guides and something in the fridge for us for breakfast. The apartment was recently renovated beautifully, all the details so nice all the way down to the bathroom fixtures ( the shower was my favorite ) We would stay here again & loved exploring Edinburgh and Scotland !

What a fantastic place!!
I can't believe we are the first review for this stunning ground floor rental. The property is so close to attractions and Donna has done a fantastic job putting a ' home away from home' together. The entire place is first rate with terrific amenities and a comfortable living area and bedroom. A bowl of fruit was made available when we arrived as well as tea, coffee and milk to get started which was a very thoughtful touch after an early arriving flight. Can't recommend it enough and would definitely return!!

About the host
Hosted by Donna
Donna was born in Edinburgh and has spent most of her life there. She lives with her husband and daughter a short drive from the apartment.
Why they chose this property
The property offers a comfortable base for travellers close to transport hubs and the city centre. Being on the ground floor, it is good for people who are slightly less mobile.
The West End is a popular area of the city as it is quiet yet central with beautiful Victorian buildings.
