Oceanfront spacious townhouse with 3 bedrooms 2 full baths an 1/2 bath. This property is over 1800 square feet of living space and will accommodate a large family comfortably sleeps 8 on king rm w/ bath. I single queen rm. and double queen w/bath out door. Located on the Atlantic Ocean. Great ocean views from the oceanfront deck off the living room and master bedroom private deck. The decks have a lovely view beach, next too, Oceanna Fishing Pier near civil war Ft. Macon and state park, and Morehead City, International shipping channel. In addition to a great place for morning coffee and people watching, while pelicans soar just overhead, view Commercial, Military ships and fishing boats come and go just 3 miles to Ft Macon inlet. Also, dolphins pass and/or play just off shore almost twice every day and even a humpback whale has been seen just past the end of the pier.

Local recreation includes a skate/bicycle park, miniature golf, fishing. Really nice to see: Fort Macon, civil war fort and Beaufort Museum has articles of Blackbeard's ship (Queen Anne Revenge found down the beach about one mile out. The local area includes: in New Bern the historic Tryon Palace and across Neuse River, The Aurora Fossil Museum with near by Bath, NC's oldest town, home of Black Beard.

This is an amazing beach front home. The check in and out was very easy and had GREAT communication with Mickey. The house was very clean and tidy. It is also a great place to relax and listen to the surf as it comes into the beach. We vacation yearly at Atlantic Beach and will be booking it again.

Great location, easy check in , well equipped kitchen, bring own trash bags , paper towels, dish soap. Has a great view and access to the beach. Even though it rained the few days we were there, we still had a great time. Close to great restaurants ( I would recommend On the Rocks) also friendly beach stores. Would stay here again if planning on coming back!

Location was wonderful. Enjoyed the back yard and beach access. Lots of room for our 2 dogs and 2 year old grandson. View of the dunes was beautiful. Quiet dead end street. Close to the pier and many good restaurants. Everything we could ask for in a beach house.

The best thing about this property is the LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! It’s just steps away from the beach and near a delicious restaurant and the only Pier left in Atlantic Beach. It’s at the very end of a dead end street, so there is NO TRAFFIC making it very quiet and safe. The size is also very nice and it’s very comfortable. In addition, it is Pet-Friendly. The hosts were great and responded quickly when contacted. We plan to return to this property often. It’s not fancy, but has everything you need. ALSO, the restaurant had live music on Friday night that was very entertaining.

The house was exactly as expected! It’s spacious and practical. The beds were comfortable with nice bedding. The pans could use some updating, but there were plenty of options for us to cook our meals. The location is incredible. We enjoyed walking on the pier and eating there and at the Island Grille. It was a 10 minute walk down to the circle for other restaurant options. The views from the house are perfect. The hosts responded quickly to questions. Thanks for everything!

Good Time

This was a good place to stay. Easy short walk right over the dune to the beach. The location is right next to pier for entertainment, and good food at the restaurant. Overall we had a good vacation at this location. Communication with the owner was fast and responsive. The owner took care of everything in a timely manner. We would stay at this location again when coming back to Atlantic Beach.

Great get away!

We picked this house due to able to have multiple dogs and location to the beach. The parking is a bit tight but doable. Great views and easy beach access. We would stay that again in the future.

Love this place on the beach beside the Pier!

Words can't decribe the location of property is Excelletn. We walked on beach, went fishing, and enjoyed a local kite festival while we were there. Mickey is super nice!!

Thanksgiving Vacation

One of the best stays my partner and I had. We love the beach and to be cozy. Mickey and Patsy’s house had all of the good vibes and more. We loved waking up to the view of the ocean. You can see the sun rise and set from the top balcony. A perfect location and wonderful house. We will be back!

Hurricane kept us away

Sadly we were not able to enjoy this property as a mandatory evacuation was put in place due to the impending hurricane. The owners stayed in constant contact regarding the situation and were great! They were able to have our money refunded and we hope to rebook and enjoy this gorgeous oceanfront retreat very soon!

What a mistake...

Fooled by reviews and photos, what we found was anything but a 5 star experience. After a nine hour drive we found the downstairs living area to be cool but the humidity was 89% and the air damp and moldy smelling. The upstairs bedrooms were around 80 degrees and humid. I contacted the owner but receiving no reply so at 10 p.m. I had drive to Walmart in Morehead to buy a fan and dehumidifier so that we could sleep in the townhome. We also had no water or ice from the refrigerator when we arrived as that was broken. The next day Mickey came over and set up the single room air conditioner that he had in the locked owners closet. Obviously he knew of the problems prior to our arrival but did not provide adequate AC unless asked. The day after that air coming out of the registers was warm. The HVAC company came out. This helped downstairs but did nothing for upstairs. The place was run down and filthy. Black rings in the toilets demonstrated that the place was not cleaned adequately. The kitchen faucet was encrusted. Light switch plates were smeared black. Multiple dirty floor tiles were broken, etc. Night number three of our vacation we were awakened by a burning plastic smell. At 3 a.m.we woke again and discovered the bedroom receptacle was black and melted. We spent yet another night in an unairconditioned bedroom. When we asked for a partial refund the reply “you chose to stay and the property was unavailable to me for use or rent." Don't make the same mistake as us.

We met in Wilmington, NC while Mickey was in the Navy and Patsy was attending Miller Motto, Business College 1962. Married in 1964 and moved to Havelock 1966 where Mickey worked at the Naval Air Rework Facility as a computer systems analyst, (retired 1998) and Patsy became mother to a girl and a boy and became their life coach helping them and the community, in school, church and any other activity to make them good students and good Americans. They grew up to be a teacher/nurse and chiropractor. They have provided us with two grandchildren and two grand dogs. I do most of the maintenance and the only time you will see us is doing the lawn or if there is a problem {which you can report by phone or text} at 252 259 6240.

We love to travel and have been in 49 states and most of the major continents and countries. Preferred travel mode is Cruise ship with our longest 60 days.

Why they chose this property

I like lighthouses and you can get a Peek of Cape Lookout Lighthouse from here. Atlantic Beach (around 600 full time residents) is a small beach town that caters to the public with non-aggressive police who patrol for the publics safety not to interfere with public enjoyment. You are on the ocean and you can see (plenty of glass) and hear the ocean Condo is about 200 feet down a private condo shared path to the protective sand dune is on a dead-end street with no fast traffic. The home is well maintained with 1,800 square foot of floor space not crowed setup to relax and enjoy the beach.

What makes this property unique

Setup to cook and save those high food bills. However, close enough to local and big market dinning if service is your vacation desires.
