Moovue 55 Harbour View Sandy Point

- The Space

This property is very comfortably furnished with quality fittings throughout.

The stand out feature is the kitchen and living/dining area which includes a reverse cycle air conditioner. The area is very large and open adjoining a large timber deck with superb views over the farmland.
The kitchen is very well equipped with upmarket appliances, including a dishwasher, and Breville Espresso coffee machine (just bring Beans). There is a large island bench overlooking the living area.
The living and dining area are very comfortably furnished and feature a wood heater for winter warmth. There is a TV, DVD player and a sound system. There is an additional lounge area adjoining the dining area.

There are three bedrooms, sleeping 7overall. The master bedroom has a queen bed, a walk in wardrobe and a fully equipped ensuite bathroom including a huge bath. There is a sliding door which leads onto a deck which also has an outdoor shower. Bedroom two has a double bed and bedroom three a single bed over double bed.

There is a large main bathroom with a separate toilet. The laundry has an automatic washing machine.

A gas BBQ is provided.

There are plenty of games to keep the kids entertained, including board games, puzzles and books.

Linen is not provided at this property

Smoking is not permitted inside the property.

No pets allowed.

While the property is fully furnished and well equipped, it may not have all appliances and equipment you may be used to using. We apologise if this causes inconvenience.

- Guest Access

You have use of the entire house and yard. Guest access information will be provided the day of your arrival via email. This will include details on how to locate the property, where to locate the key safe, and the key safe combination to access the keys.

- Neighbourhood

Situated approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne and approximately 40 mins to Wilsons Promontory.
The property is located close to the main beach for swimming, surfing and fishing. Waratah Bay Surf Lifesaving Club patrols the beach over summer; they also have a bar, occasional meals and events.
Launch your boat at Shallow Inlet, just a short 5 minute drive. It's famous for wind surfing, kite surfing and fishing.
The Sandy Point General store is the hub for groceries, bait, petrol, gas, bottle shop and an Australia Post outlet.
A small Mini golf course is located next to our office on Beach Parade (seasonal).
Playgrounds, Tennis courts (equipment can be hired from the General Store), Half basketball court & public bbq areas are located next to the Sandy Point Community Centre.
The Sandy Point Community Centre hosts art festivals, markets & other events over summer.

Sandy Point is a great base for exploring the local region. With Wilsons Promontory a short drive away, you can enjoy a range of short and long hikes that include breath taking beaches, rivers and wildlife encounters.
The historic towns of Fish Creek, Walkerville, Foster, Toora and Meeniyan are an easy drive away, offering outstanding local produce, art galleries, cafes, restaurants and wineries.
Also in easy reach is the historic Cape Liptrap Lighthouse and Walkerville Lime Kilns at the famous Magic Beach, Walkerville South.
The Great Southern Rail Trail (131kms) runs from Nyora to Yarram and can be accessed at Fish Creek, it's ideal for biking or walking.

- Getting Around

Sandy Point is a lovely Village to stroll around, however getting beyond this you will need your own car.


- Other things to note

Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
Each property in Sandy Point is on tank water and septic systems.



1. Checkout time is 10.00 am sharp on the day of your departure, unless you have made other arrangements with Prom Coast Holidays prior to your arrival. Failure to vacate the Property by 10.00am sharp will result in one extra night's accommodation fee being charged to the credit card tendered.

2. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Property. If you smoke outside the Property, all cigarette butts must be cleared and put in the bin. Failure to clean cigarette butts may result in an extra cleaning fee charge on the credit card tendered.

3. All holiday rental Properties are fully equipped with the exception of linen which is not provided unless specified in writing (e.g. Sheets, pillowcases, towels etc) a small complimentary supply of cleaning products (soap, detergent, etc ) is supplied.

4. Unless otherwise specified in writing, firewood for wood heaters is not supplied. Wood is available for purchase at the Sandy Point General Store, BP Fish Creek or Foster. Outdoor fires are only permitted in accordance with local fire restrictions.

5. The Maximum number of persons (including children) permitted to occupy the Property is included in the Property description. Overcrowding, extra guests and parties are not allowed. If there is evidence of overcrowding, extra guests or parties at the Property at any time, the booking will be terminated immediately, all monies forfeited and any costs incurred as a result of the misuse of the Property will be payable by you or charged against the credit card tendered.

6. Tents, caravans and the like are strictly not permitted at the Property at any time.

7. If upon your arrival the Property is not clean, or it comes to your attention that the Property has been damaged, you must notify Prom Coast Holidays staff immediately so that we are able to inspect and arrange to rectify the problem promptly. Claims for compensation will not be considered should Prom Coast Holidays not be advised of any issues on checkin.

8. Prom Coast Holidays is not responsible for, and you hereby release Prom Coast Holidays from, any liability in respect to any injury, debt, damage, loss, cost, delay, expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by your occupation or use of the Property.

9. Prom Coast Holidays accepts no responsibility for guest's personal property left in, or near the Property.

10. Guests and Visitors must not create noise which is offensive to occupiers of neighbouring properties especially between 10pm & 8am, during arrival or departure, and at any time throughout the occupancy. Offensive noise is prohibited and may result in immediate termination of your booking, all monies forfeited, and any costs incurred following misuse of, or damage to the Property will be payable by you or charged to the credit card tendered. Guests and visitors must not engage in anti-social behaviour. Strictly no schoolies or bucks/hens nights.

11. You are responsible for any damage caused to the Property or the loss of, or damage to any items provided at the Property, including but not limited to the floors and floor coverings, furniture and fittings, kitchen utensils, crockery, glassware, cutlery and you must pay to Prom Coast Holidays the full cost of replacement or repair of any such items lost or damaged. All damage, breakages and losses are to be reported to Prom Coast Holidays immediately. All furniture and equipment must be left in the Property and as originally found.

12. You are responsible for the safekeeping and replacement of accommodation keys. Duplicate keys are not always available. If Keys or remotes are lost, you are responsible for the cost of changing locks. Should Prom Coast Holidays be required to attend the property after hours due to fault of guest (i.e. losing keys or locking themselves out) a service charge of $200.00 will be deducted from the credit card tendered.

13. If you do not leave the Property neat and tidy, Prom Coast Holidays will charge you an additional cleaning fee. Any spillages, the fridge and benchtops must be wiped, dishes washed, dried and put away clean, bqq cleaned (if used), and all garbage must be wrapped and placed in the garbage bin provided. Please put bins out on the nature strip Sunday night for rubbish collection.

14. Prom Coast Holidays is a property management company, managing this house on behalf of the owners. Should you need to get in touch with us regarding a matter which is not urgent, please contact our office during office hours. A/H (emergency) contact details will be provided in guests Check in email.

15. Electric vehicles: Please note the charging of Electric Vehicles is not permitted at the property. Power usage is monitored and a surcharge of $50 per day will apply for excessive power usage. EV charging stations are located at Sandy Point Mens Shed, Foster, Fish Creek & Yanakie townships for your convenience.

Fantastic short break in Sandy Point with family

Really great property with fantastic amenities, lots of space for a family, and very well-equipped. Communication from the property management team was timely and thorough, with all the information we required. We loved our stay in Sandy Point - thank you!

Easter at Sandy Point

We had a lovely stay, the open living, kitchen and dining was excellent, with the fireplace and large north facing windows being a great feature. A couple of items didn’t work on arrival but the property managers were quick to respond and remedy. Would highly recommend for a relaxing and picturesque getaway.

Great Location

Perfect location to spend sone time on a patrolled surf beach and only 40 minures from Wilsons Prom . Enough room for 2 couples and 3 kids.The house had a nice open living area and spacious kitchen. The bedrooms were small but comfortable. There is a decking area at the back with nice views of a cattle farm and bbq facilities. Some feedback for owner: The kitchen chairs are badly designed and uncomfortable and could not be sat on by adults. I sat down and slid back into the chair and hurt my back.The dvd player and the jets on the spa did not work. The doona in the kids bedroom was left dirty with black hairs all in it when we arrived.

Lovely winter getaway

Spacious, comfortable 3-bedroom house that accommodated 2 adults and 3 kids for 3 nights. The house was cold on arrival, but the split system in the main room and portable heaters in the bedrooms did the job. The house was clean and had nice views of the fields on the edge of town. The large bath was appreciated at the end of a few days exploring the Prom. Short walk to the beach with views of the Prom. A good base for day trips to the Prom. 30 min drive to the gate, 50 mins to Tidal River. As expected, the town was very quiet in mid-winter and there is only one small general store so shop ahead, although the store had a good selection of essentials. Minor quibbles: Oven didn't seem to work properly, TV aerial was a little temperamental, but the property manager answered one query promptly.

Great house in Sandy Point

Well equipped, lovely spot with views of paddocks and amazing sunrises. Bonus espresso machine, open fire and comfy beds. Easy walk to the beach and local shop.

Great property, poor service

This may be a once off but it was our experience. We received an email from the agent the evening before our arrival saying that we had not completed the required documentation and consequently that we would not be given access to the property and would forfeit the full payment. In fact, we had sent the required forms a week before and the agent had acknowledged their receipt. When I pointed this out by phone, SMS and email, I received a grudging acknowledgment without an apology. On arrival the place was in a poor state. The floors had not been swept. The benches and the fridge was greasy. The toilets were dirty and there were used towels hanging from the bedroom doors. The BBQ was a filthy mess.

Beautiful Home

We spent the week there. Lovely home with everything available. So many indoor/outdoor games for the kids. The beach was so close that we were able to watch the sunset from the beach. The best feature for me was watching the sheep and ducks on the back porch with the beautiful pasture of green grass. I could sit there all day. Highly recommend. Loved it.
