Tavern on the Green has always been a fan favorite with its putting green out front and gorgeous pool in the back, and now we have a regulation-sized Pickleball court to add to the fun! This court can also be converted to volleyball or badminton and features a basketball court, too! With a huge covered back patio, your group is sure to make tons of memories spending time together.

Tavern on the Green is just minutes away from Frio River access points, a short drive to Garner State Park and only a block from Frio Valley Ranch, and two blocks from the House Pasture restaurant and live music venue.

Amazing location and pickle ball/basketball court

The pool, pickle ball court, basketball court, large smoker, huge fire pit, and 5 bedrooms with an extra bathroom made our stay one the best vacations we have been on! We will definitely stay there again!

Great house four our girls trip

We had a group of 14 Mother-Daughters and we booked this house for an annual trip. While we were super disappointed that we couldn’t float since there was no water in the river, this house allowed us to still enjoy our time at the Frio. The proximity to the river would have been great, but it was still nice to be able to use the pool and pickleball court. There were plenty of beds so everyone had lots of space and the large gathering room allowed for fun game nights and socializing. Would highly recommend for anyone traveling with a large group.

Everything was ok. This was the first time for me to rent a house and I didn’t know what to do, we arrived at the house and we were looking around for everything and we were missing one room. We looked at the back of the house and we saw three doors, they were all locked, so we tried using the keys and It worked in one of the rooms. We saw another door and in the property amenities it said pool/spa we thought it was the spa but the key didn’t work so I called the property manager and she was rude. She didn’t let me explain myself, I asked her about the room. She was mad that we tried opening the door. We only tried accessing the room once, and when we realized it didn’t open we called about it. That’s when she was being rude about not opening the door. She gave me a lot of attitude, when I was just asking a simple question. It was our first time renting a Vrbo so we had no idea about any of this. Other then that everything was fine and we enjoyed our stay. Thanks so much

Perfect get away

The property was beautiful. Pool was perfect. Having 5 bedrooms all with bathrooms was awesome! It was really hot outside (104) but the house stayed cool and comfortable . Only thing we would have changed was the ability to get some standard TV stations and ability to have music on the patio, we had a great time. Thank you.

We met in college in 1995 and have been together ever since. Frio River Resorts was started by Brannon's parents nearly 20 years ago and it has been continuously Hightower-family-owned and operated the entire time, with us buying the business in 2018.

We're local and we live in Concan full-time and enjoy serving as stewards of our community with participation in local boards and volunteer organizations. You've likely seen us on River Road as you leave on Sunday supporting the Concan Volunteer Fire Department in our “Fill The Boot” fundraising campaigns, or out to eat at Neal's or House Pasture.
