Beautiful and peaceful place to getaway.

The log cabin was absolutely gorgeous, and the views were amazing. Billy was a great host, anything that we needed or had questions on he was a call or text away and was very quick to respond. We will be returning for sure sometime in the future! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quite getaway from everyday life!

We loved our stay in cabin #2. We had our own secluded dock and fire pit. The cabin was nicely decorated and had new appliances. We plan to return. ❤❤❤

Anniversary getaway

My husband and I picked this cabin for our 7 year anniversary and it was great! We enjoyed having our breakfast and coffee on the deck overlooking the water. We enjoyed the kayaks that were on site for us to use and we also went exploring a couple of days into Chattanooga. I wish we had stayed another day so we could have went hiking in the state forest but we'll have to plan that next time! Chuck was an amazing host, super friendly down to earth guy! Loved our experience here!

Lovely Time Away

My spouse and I wanted to have a little unplugged time, and we picked this place on the Tennessee River. The drive to the island was lovely, through gorge alongside the river. Once at cabin 2, we settled in. It is cozy and feels warm with all the rich wooden paneling inside. It was on the shallow side of the river. There were fireflies in the trees, kayaks to paddle, and fish jumping morning and night. We went into Chattanooga, but, honestly, the best part of the trip was time spent on the island. Chuck, the owner, is a genuinely nice person. Quick story. We didn't know him, but the morning we left, it was storming and a tree had fallen across the road. I called and got some info from him, and he offered to help us out. He did, and made sure we stayed dry while he did a really neighborly thing for two people he hadn't met before. He even wanted us to text him to make sure we arrived back home in SC safely. Between his kindness and our refreshing away time, we feel recharged. We definitely will be back.

Awsome Rental

I have driven hundreds of miles from Chattanooga to rent a place like this... and it was right under my nose. I had a family get together and everyone was thrilled. Billy the owner made sure we had everything we needed from kayaks to canoes. It was like having the emmities of home and the adventure of being in the back woods all in one. I will definitely be back. Did I say the Fishing was Great!

Place is nice, but cabin 2 isn’t.

Ac doesn’t cool the sleeping area. Poor layout makes cabin uncomfortable. Rent 3 days get 4th free isn’t true . Oh the owner Chuck has a list of what your expected to clean. Lol Everything but the sheets. Lol

much needed time away

My husband and I were able to take a spontaneous trip and found this location. We were looking for a slow pace, relaxing, get away from everything. This is vacation to the cabins did not disappoint. If you would like to find a rustic, secluded, simple time then this is right where you need to be. The water is beautiful, the birds are chirping, and the fish are jumping (and biting). You are literally footsteps away from the water. If boating is more your speed don't worry Chuck has you covered. There are several types to choose from there on site. You definitely need to get away to this small peace of heaven. Thank you Chuck for your hospitality. Bill, Milo, and myself will be back in the fall.

Great place for a weekend getaway

We made these plans on a whim just a few days before and were very pleasantly surprised where we ended up. Chuck and Brad were so welcoming and wonderful. We were able to bring our dog and she ran around and played with their dogs. The rental comes with a boat rental so we all went out on a river adventure. The cabin is super cozy and private. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and there’s a washer and dryer which was an unexpected bonus. Chuck warned us and I’ll echo it: bring groceries with you. It’s a long way to the closest store, which is also a good thing if you’re prepared for it. The only criticism I have is that the kitchen needs a light in it. Hard stop. We’ll be back soon for the autumn colors.

Tiny house living on the water ........ Magical

On a map you may look close to "civilization" don't be fooled. That last 12 miles is a very winding road. Bring in everything you might need . Meals . TP. Shampoo and soap . washing powder for the washer etc .. The kitchen had every thing we could have needed in the way of pans and dishes. My husband made wonderful meals in that little kitchen. There is also a grill . Great back deck with a wonderful view. Enjoyed watching a heron take up her prch each day . Saw a deer swim across the water and exit as gracefully as she swam . . Each night I adored the chorus of frog. Had great fun using the kayaks. And made use of walking trails and parks in the area. Please take care of this little gem . I am smitten with the place and can't wait to visit again . . . .

50th anniversary getaway

This cabin was perfect as it was isolated and cozy, away from the city life. The dock is just feet away from the door where we could walk out and do fishing. It was a great spot and would definitely recommend if you are looking to unplug from the hustle and bustle and unwind.
