We completely understand wanting another deck to take in that fantastic view, unfortunately the house design didn't lend to that, so we added more windows in the living room so everyone can wrap themselves in that endless view to enjoy it. The bonus is that our caretaker plans, decorates and caters weddings, bachelorettes, and any other special occasions that guests can think up. I'm sorry that our home didn't warrant five stars. We try very hard to provide a 5 star vacation rental experience. Vacation rentals run on a different star system than hotels, and many people don't seem aware of this, so if there are issues, which can happen with personal homes, we appreciate the opportunity to fix them. This guest never reached out to tell us there was a problem, so we have no way of knowing why they only gave us 4 stars. It's very frustrating as a host when the written review appears good, but the guest leaves a lackluster star rating.

Thank you for the 5 star review. I’m not sure what the “except” references as you only mentioned that your stay was great. I’m sorry we couldn’t accommodate an early check in and a late check out gratis, but we do appreciate you choosing to stay with us.

Thanks for leaving a review. We are in the mountains, so folks who aren't used to driving on hills that might think our driveway is steep though it's not that bad. We are quite reasonable for the views you get to see. You don't need a 4X4 or a special car to get up, we are paved all the way to the top. We also only share the road with one other house, so easy access.

I will be brutally honest here. I rated this guest a one star, but would have left zero if I could. They are underage and only here to party. They begged to book for one night because they were "traveling to TN for a wedding and needed someplace to stay". This was a lie, our Ring doorbell showed they never left. Our newly installed hot tub stopped working, so the spa company came and sent me photos of puke everywhere around the hot tub and IN the hot tub. They changed the water and sanitized it. I called and spoke with the guest and they apologized. They asked for a late check out and then never left. I have them on camera puking in my bushes, throwing antiques out into the driveway and dealing with another guest who had alcohol poisoning. I finally had to threaten them with having law enforcement escort them off the premises to get them to leave. After that, it took two days to clean up their mess including an entire mounded pick up truck of trash and two visits from the spa company to change the spa water and filters to get the puke out. Never ever, not EVER should anyone rent to these delinquents again. I am happy to provide photographic evidence to anyone who wishes to see. Absolutely horrible guest!
