New Lakehouse on Private Sandy Beach, 5 Minutes from Bobcaygeon, Plenty of Toys

Newly built 6-bedroom private lakehouse on a secluded road with a private inlet and your own sandy beach. Bright cottage with easy access to large lawn for games, beach with a shallow walk-in area for kids. Enjoy outdoor fires or the spacious deck for relaxing. A variety of water toys for all ages - paddleboards, kayaks, canoe, paddleboat and water mat. Lakehouse has AC, WiFi, satellite TV and stereos. Large patio and table for outside enjoyment.

There are six bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. There are enough beds to comfortably sleep up to 16 people. There are 4 bedrooms on the second floor, two with private bathrooms and two with a shared bathroom. The master has a king bed and a twin day bed and a private ensuite with bath and shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed with a full private ensuite. The third & fourth bedrooms have queen beds (one with one bed another with two) and share a full bathroom. The remaining two bedrooms are on lower level. Both are very large dorm-style bedrooms with three queen beds in each - great space for the kids and teens.

Large dining table with lake views - allows large groups (16+) to comfortably eat together. Another table outside if you want to enjoy the weather. A spacious, fully equipped kitchen for the inspiring gourmet - includes an espresso machine, mixer, blender, rice cooker, gas and charcoal BBQ, and plenty of cooking supplies, serving dishes and a dishwasher.

Lots of room for games both inside and outside. There is a pool table, ping pong table, foosball and air hockey table. Outside there is a kid play structure, water toys, and a large lawn for games. Or just relax and enjoy the spectacular sunrises on the deck.

You can't beat the location. It is 5 minutes away from Bobcaygeon. You are minutes from Foodland or Value Mart, the LCBO and Beer Store, the local butcher, and the Farmer's Market (October to May). Tired of cooking - Bobcaygeon has several restaurants or have a pizza delivered to the lakehouse. The streets and shops are busy all summer, with many local events to participate in.

I do not host weddings or large parties, this is a family neighbbourhood.

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please strip the beds you used, only the sheets, NOT the duvet covers. If you can throw a load into the washer up and downstairs that would help save time. Thanks!
Please remove your garbage, any extra you cannot take to the dump please leave in the garage.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
There is a 5-night minimum stay during July and August, for the rest of the year there is a two-night minimum stay required.
This cottage is not meant for large parties; it is suitable for families and friends. The area is under STR regulations; noise must be indoors by 11.

Perfect multigenerational family getaway

Our family of 14 stayed at this great home so comfortably. Our 7 grandchildren and 3 children with spouses had tons of space. The beach and shallow water was perfect for the children to play. This was a family reunion. .The home had everything and more to accommodate 9 of us comfortably plus one doggie.Kitchen was extremely well equipped far beyond our past vrbo experiences. The property was very nice. The house was spacious and the kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. However, the listing said sandy beach. There was a lovely sandy area on the lawn but not the beach per se. we couldn’t swim there. Fortunately we had a boat. Also there was no hot water. Warm at best.

This house has perfect main floor space. Large rooms, high ceilings, the best well stocked kitchen. The outdoor space had plenty of seating areas, both in sun and shade. The six of us had a wonderful time by the firepit, enjoying the amazing sound system inside, etc. Kelly was an attentive host. Thank you so much for sharing this home.

Amazing retreat

A group of 10 rented this location to celebrate a friend’s accomplishment. The landscape is exquisite and the property is beautiful. It was so easy to connect with kelly as well. We brought our own supplies however, we’re surprised to find that every thing we needed was already supplied, and in large quantity. We had an amazing time and hope one day to be able to go during the summer season as well.

We had an incredible stay at this property! Everything was absolutely spotless upon arrival, and the home itself is beautiful – even better than the photos. The location was private and peaceful, which made it the perfect escape.The amenities were truly top-notch. The kitchen was so well-stocked, it had absolutely everything we could have needed (and more!) – even the knives were sharp, which never happens in a rental! Tons of cutlery, cookware, and thoughtful extras made cooking and dining a breeze.There was no shortage of things to do, we were always entertained. This incredible Lakehouse surpassed our dreams & expectations!! It was clean, spacious, well stocked with everything we could possibly need, and just the most beautiful place ever!! Excellent for our gathering of 13 ladies who gathered to celebrate 45 years since graduating from Nursing school! Lots to do at the Lakehouse, or in nearby Bobcaygeon! The owner (Kelly) could not have been any more helpful & supportive; quick to respond to any correspondence from me. It truly was a wonderful weekend in every way! I can’t wait to go back again!!

We had a wonderful time at this home and would have given the location more stars except for the fact Pigeon Lake is very shallow. We were told ahead of time but didn’t think it would be that shallow and for such a long distance. We had great difficulty getting the boat out to deeper water and once out there we found it choppy most of the time so not suitable for water skiing.

Great stay despite power outage

Lucky to have a generator that kept some lights and fridge on, survived about 28 hours of power outage during the Victoria day storm. In general the Property is very well equipped with kitchen supplies, games, water toys, linens. Loved the long dining table that fitted all 15 of us! Upstairs room with great views, just could get a little hot with the daytime sun. Kelly was very organized host and provided us with a lot of detailed information and instructions about the house, she was also very responsive whenever we have a question. Would highly recommend the property.

This is a family summer home that we enjoy sharing with others. It has everything you need for family and friend gatherings. I deal with all of our renters directly to help you plan and answer questions during your stay. This lakehouse is NOT part of a property management company. We do not host weddings or parties - it is meant for friends and family to get together.

Why they chose this property

This property offers something for everyone. Plenty of space outside to relax. Shallow waters for small kids. Lots to do on the water - canoe, paddleboard, kayak, or water mat. And lots to do inside - play pool, ping pong, fose ball or air hockey. There is a large kitchen for those that want to cook and an extra-large table so everyone can eat together as well. There are many entertaining areas inside - two TV rooms, games room, living room, and kitchen space. And a selection of areas to relax outside from the deck, outdoor patio, beach, or hammock.

Although you will feel like you are away at a cottage you are only minutes from town which comes in very handy if you want to pick up groceries, beer, ice cream or go for dinner.
