Welcome to DragonFly Lite a single family home in Marathon, FL the heart of the beautiful Florida Keys, the house has 2 bedrooms a Queen in the master and 2 twins in the guest room, one bathroom + an outdoor shower, all the towels you will need for the pool or beach (please leave the sand outside). Kitchen is stocked with basics , so there is everything you need to cook up a storm, enjoy! Living area has a large TV, comfortable seating. Your own heated saltwater pool & patio area is complete with a gas grill, outdoor dining and seating areas to enjoy. Off street parking for your car & boat. A 10 minute drive to Sombrero Beach, voted best beach in the Keys. Less than a mile walk to Seven Mile Bridge. Plenty of shopping on Marathon and you are just an hour from Key West.
Dragonfly Lite!! is a wonderful island getaway for a couple or family looking to come to the keys to kick back, relax and enjoy each other’s company. Relaxing vibes with the best location on the keys

We loved this property. Very close to everything but still felt like a tropical get away. The pool was amazing. Beds were comfortable and the space was everything described in the listing. The outdoor shower was also a perk. We loved having laundry on site as well. Super convenient and all the things you could need. Hosts were very attentive and answered al of our questions. The snorkel gear readily available was a cool addition and kept us from renting gear while staying in the area. Would consider staying here again.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Keys

We had a fantastic stay at Dragonfly Lite in Marathon! This spot is perfectly located—right in the middle of the Florida Keys—making it the ideal home base for day trips to Key West, Islamorada, and beyond. We loved being able to explore during the day and return to such a peaceful, private retreat each evening.The saltwater pool was a highlight—refreshing and spotless, it was the perfect way to unwind after a day of snorkeling, kayaking, or just soaking up the sun. The unit itself was simple, clean, and just what we needed: quiet, comfortable, and with enough privacy to truly relax.There was some construction going on across the street that got started a bit early in the morning, but we’re early risers anyway, so it didn’t affect us much. Honestly, it was easy to tune out once we were enjoying our coffee by the pool or planning our next adventure.A huge shoutout to Jerry, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He had tons of great local suggestions—from food to hidden beaches—and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed.If you’re looking for a centrally located, low-key escape with charm and convenience, Dragonfly Lite is a fantastic choice. We’ll definitely be back!

Private Oasis

Wonderful!

Perfect home base to enjoy the beautiful Florida Keys! We divided our time between exploring Marathon and relaxing poolside. The owners have made this home a private resort-style destination unmatched by any other place we stayed. Already looking forward to another visit!

Enjoyed the Keys Outdoors

We had a great time at the Dragonfly Lite! The outdoor area and pool were exceptional! We really enjoyed use of the outdoor shower, as well! The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Jerry was incredibly helpful leading up to and during the stay, as was Barbie, our property manager.

Hidden Marathon Gem!

This little hideaway was perfect for my family. It’s right off of US 1 but with it being tucked away with fence & trees, you would never know! The house is cozy and they have made a great use of space. I primarily booked it for pool and cabana because my kids loved to swim daily! Breakfast or dinner under the patio was fantastic. Great Marathon location, close to all our favorites (Turtle Hospital, Keys Fisheries, the Stuffed Pig, Publix) Jerry (the host) was a great communicator Before we checked out, I booked for next July!

Great Florida Keys Vacation

Our family really enjoyed staying at the Dragonfly Cottage. The location of the house allowed us access to several options for things to do with our son. The pool was amazing and our son always wanted to be in it. The house was very comfortable for our family of three and I was surprised at how much stuff was available for us to prepared meals. I also want to add that any time we had a question Barbie and Jerry were always easy to get in touch with to answer our questions. We had a great time spending the week down in the Keys.

Exceptional outdoor space

The outdoor area was amazing, very meticulously maintained. My husband and six year old daughter stayed here for a little over a week and spent at least 4 hours each day in the pool and outdoor area. We enjoyed using the grill for a few dinners and lunches. The property was very centrally located to restaurants, The Island Grill and Burdines ( you have to try the fried key lime pie) were our favorites. The house had plenty of space for the three of us. The one bathroom is a bit small but it worked out ok. The two bedrooms provided ample space for us. The cable tv service was limited and sometimes the internet was a bit weak and slow. Jerry was very responsive and checked in with us to make sure we were completely satisfied.

Amazing property! A paradise all on its own! Definitely will stay again!!!!

The place is accurately described. Barbie the on site manager was the best part of the trip. She met us at the property and made us feel so welcomed. Plus she made sure we had everything we needed to have the best vacation. Jerry the owner made a follow up call too! Our adult kids did their own thing driving to the awesome beach just a few miles away while me and my sister enjoyed the patio, pool, hammock, sitting area with pergola, all while drinking cocktails. We never left the pool the entire trip not even to go to the beach. The set up at the place was so perfect we relaxed on the property all day then went to dinner at night followed up by hot tub time before bed. The only down side we had was regulating the hot tub and pool heat. If the hot tub was hot enough then the pool was way too warm and if pool was the correct temp the hot tub was too cold. Regardless we enjoyed both! We did report to Barbie late in the week (which was our fault for not letting her know sooner so they could address while we were still there) and she promptly got in touch with the pool person to look into. Again, very professional customer service! We will definitely stay again!

Amazing vacation spot!

Review This property was the perfect place for our family of three! My husband and I said multiple times throughout the week that this was the best vacation we have ever been on and the house was a huge part of that! The property was just a few seconds off the main road but you could not tell that at all once you were there. It felt like a completely private oasis with the palms, pool and beautiful landscaping. The pool was definitely a highlight and we swam multiple times a day. We stayed at the end of November and the heated option was perfect for the morning and night swims to keep the water a comfortable temperature. My two year old had so much fun playing in the pool (pool noodles and floats provided) and spent a lot of time running his little machines around all the cool landscaping (you understand if you have little boys 😂) while I was able to lay back on one of the outdoor lounges and watch him. The outdoor shower was also a huge perk!! We never even showered in the indoor bathroom because the outdoor shower was so relaxing (and completely stocked with shampoo/conditioner/body wash.) The interior of the home is the perfect size for a small family and we felt that the home was very quiet. We were able to keep it completely comfortable with all the AC options for each room. The beds and the couch were super comfortable! Another big perk was that everything we needed supply wise (trash bags, soap, paper towels, toilet paper, detergent) was provided for the entire week! We didn’t have to buy anything but food. The house even had coffee! Location wise I think that Marathon is a great option for families. We could easily day trip to Key West, but there were so many family friendly things to do within 5-15 minutes of the house. Highly recommend Aquatic Encounters and Marathon Library if you have little ones! We also enjoyed 2 days at Bahia Honda which was a quick car ride from the house (the house has coolers, umbrellas, sand toys, floaties to take!) Overall, we highly recommend this house to any small families who are looking to vacation in the keys! Seriously, you will not regret choosing this place! Thank you so much to Barbie (awesome and efficient guide to the house), Jerry and Lynn for sharing this piece of paradise! We could not have had a better time!

The owner, Jerry, was quick to respond and very helpful when needed. The property was extremely private and the pool was excellent! The outdoor shower was key for me! Loved it. Would have stayed forever if it was possible. It really felt like home while we were there. Lots of supplies and equipment at the house. Pool is amazing and is such an oasis. Host provides a ton of information about restaurants and things to while there. Property manager shows you around personally. I don't know where to start. Everything about Dragonfly was great! It was very clean, things all worked as they should. The beds were comfortable. Jerry was easy to connect with if we had questions prior to arrival and was still offering tips during our stay if we asked. All questions before, during, and after our stay were answered quickly and courteously. We have already booked again for next year!!

Poolside Paradise

This was our first visit to the Keys and we were very pleased. The house is cozy and clean, and the outdoor pool area is phenomenal. Jerry and Lynn were wonderful hosts. The only bad part of the trip was returning to central Illinois weather.

Beautiful outdoor patio, amazing pool, and a very well air conditioned house. We had a great week here, only thing we wished was different was the jacuzzi connected to the pool was the same temperature as the pool, other than that, fantastic host and property.

Private Oasis
