About this property

On the RIVER. Beautiful 2br/ 2 1/2 ba w/ hot tub Need 4wheel drive to get there

Castaway Creekside offers our guests the perfect park-like setting, ten feet from the edge of the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River, one of the Tennessee’s preeminent mountain trout streams.

While located only a few miles from the back guest entrance to Dollywood and Dollywood Splash Country, you cannot see another home or road from this cabin. Not even in the winter from any portion of this cabin’s 7 acre lot. Being the next to last cabin on a private gravel drive, the only sounds you will hear will be from the River. You will need 4 wheel drive to access this cabin.

Castaway Creekside boasts 700 feet of river frontage on this fantastic trout stream.

Although we don’t expect the electronics get used much, Creekside Castaway has wireless internet service (for checking email not good enough for streaming movies)and premium cable channels through Direct TV, the living room, loft and each bedroom have flat screen televisions.

Creekside Castaway is decorated with an eclectic mix of antiques and modern furnishings. The king size canopy bed in the master bedroom is so “over-the-top” that it defies description in words. With hand woven oriental rugs, leather sofas and seating, every part of this home is welcoming.

The main level features a queen twig bed, rustic furnishings and antiques which captures a unique camping theme.

The top floor loft includes a foosball soccer table, larger flat screen television with DVD, and beautiful view through the living room to the river. With leather sleeper sofa and leather rocking chairs.

Each bedroom has its own full bath and half bath in the loft. The Kitchen feature granite counter tops and cherry cabinets. Bring food, you will not want to leave this cabin to go out to eat, and the kitchen is fully equipped with that in mind.

Creekside Castaway has spacious decks which wrap around the cabin and “stair-step” down to the river. Whether relaxing in the hot tub or enjoying a book to the sounds of the rapids, you will not find a more relaxing and picturesque setting than beside this beautiful river.

For the fisher-men and women in your group, we have an assortment of light fishing gear but always recommend our guests bring their own “familiar” equipment. Applicable licenses and permits are required. The cabin is located on the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River .

This cabin does have sulphur water. We have added a water filtration system and the filters are changed regularly. If you notice a smell please let us know and we will change the filters.

Castaway creekside
We have stayed at this property several times. Even though the drive is steep and driveway is tight, we keep coming back. The tranquility of this spot right on the river with no neighbors in site cannot be beaten.

Loved it
Beautiful place, very peaceful. True you do need 4wd to get there and it's probably not for the skittish, but if you have any offroad experience it's not bad. The river and fishing right off the deck is worth it

Creekside cabin
The cabin itself is beautiful. The check in process is easy. The cabin is clean and had a beautiful view of the river. To me it could have been better with better lighting outside at night. And a better way to turn around. Not to good of a turn around area 4 a Nissan titan

Completely private and serene. I would return anytime is not snowy or wet
Here goes. The road in is a tad threatening. It was this moment I questioned my choice of driving the Porsche Panamera. bad idea thought goes thru your mind. Drive in during the day and have a cooler ready. When you get there, drive past the driveway and push a tight 3 point turn and drive to the driveway and back in. Have fun with that, backup cameras are a plus. Its gorgeous and peaceful as you will find. You hear nothing but running from the river or the 1986 hot tub. This time of year, head on down to deck number 3 and fire up the fire-pit. Chill out and enjoy. Farther down the walk across the property is a spot set for decent fishing. They're mostly small but fun. If you walk out onto the rocks, as i would recommend here's a tip. Stay on the ones closer to the surface. Not slick or into the current as the smooth round ones 3-4 feet down. You may see kayaks zipping down. If people come by to trim the grass just run them off. We had a blast without much in the way of wifi. If the tv reception is bad wander out into the river and walk around and clean off the dish. It is likely covered with overgrown vines etc. So, would I stay here again? Absolutely. I would ask for a better couch for the tv mounted 8'up. I think your handyman was drunk by the way. If they arent then I would hire a better carpenter. Man a new hottub would be fantastic as well. The serene location, I'm talking relaxed, is what youre paying for and what you receive. Matt and Amy
