About this property

"Whit's End" Spacious, Private Beach-Front Lake Erie Sleeps 12 Birders & Fishing

We have a beautifully updated two-story single-family home with private sand beach with a 35"x14" patio on Lake Erie! Many of our reviews state 'there's everything you need' in this house!

This is our 8th year of hosting, and we continue to update our lake front property annually. Recently, the 1st floor Primary Bath was completely renovated to include a walk-in shower with bypass glass doors and a fold-down seat, double vanity, matching mirrors, undermounted sinks, marble countertop, an ADA-height toilet and porcelain tiled floor. Also, the 2nd floor full bath received a new 42"w vanity, single sink, ceramic countertop, and 42"w wall mirror.

Although we're off the beaten path, it's a great place to relax and enjoy family time by creating lasting memories! Enjoy magnificent sunsets and sunrises from your private beach! This area is known for abundant fishing (don't forget your Ohio fishing license) and adventurous boating experiences.

NOTE: our vacation home is located in a homeowners' association called Long Beach Association (LBA). LBA which is a private association located along the western basin of Lake Erie. Our residential community consists of both seasonal and year-round residents. To preserve the unique character and privacy of Long Beach, the association allows only a limited number of rentals.

Take the Jet Express to Put-In-Bay and walk, ride a golf cart, climb Admiral Perry's (war of 1812) monument in Put-In-Bay, or enjoy an adult beverage and savory foods in the Island's many pubs and winery. Submerge yourself in solitude by kayaking around South Bass (Put-In-Bay) or Kelley's Islands. From Put-In-Bay take the Goodtime Ferry to Kelley's Island to hike or golf cart your way to discover the world-famous Glacial Grooves.

Explore Magee Marsh Wildlife Area, and other local protected sanctuaries, nationally known in American Birding circles as host to thousands of bird watchers each spring and fall. Enjoy a fast-paced day at Cedar Point amusement park. Or slow it down a bit by taking the kids to African Safari Wildlife Park, Lagoon Deer Park or Toledo Zoo.

Back on the mainland, take a dip from your private sand beach before grilling dinner, and sharing meals in the Lanai while enjoying the lakefront view. Catch amazing sunsets with a cozy fire on the beach and close the night by sharing your day's experiences in the Lanai.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Start a full washing machine load of towels, i.e., kitchen, bath, beach, before departing on your check-out date.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No boats or fish cleaning on premises! Wild Wings Campground/Marina has self-cleaning stations + professional fishing cleaning available 1 mile away.

Fred grew up just north of Detroit, was educated in Colorado (courtesy of the USAF) and upstate New York, and retired from USAF in 2005. Cheryl grew up in Boston and was educated there as well as in Missouri and Michigan.

We reside just east of Dayton, OH, and have 3 married children (plus 2 grands); they live in Indiana, Washington, and Kentucky. We purchased this summer vacation property in 2019 as a legacy for our children, grandchildren and future generations. We absolutely love this home as well as the community and we're confident you'll love it too!

On 02 October 2020, we registered a new LLC under the name of Lakeside Sunrise-Sunset LLC exclusively for our lake house business.

We also have another LLC titled EagleLight Properties LLC, and it was established in Ohio in 2015 while acquiring distressed townhouses and condominiums in the Dayton, Ohio area to rehab and rent ("flip & hold"). We provide regular maintenance and improvements to our properties and are blessed to have great tenants!

Spectacular lake views, sunrises and sunsets from the beach, Living Room and Lanai!! The views from the Primary Bedroom, Living Room, 2 upstairs bedrooms and Lanai are priceless! Also, the daily parade of Canada Geese up and down the shoreline is worth keeping an eye open for them, especially in the Spring with their ducklings trailing behind. Many times they make a stop on our beach! Book with us and see for yourself!
