Wonderful stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the Yaughtsman Property just steps to the beach, playground and pool. Wonderful restaurants and shopping nearby. The beds were comfortable and the house was well appointed. We appreciated the extra parking spot and ease of communication with owner.

This is a great location, steps to the beach, view and convenience can't be beat. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of dishware and cooking equipment for a family of 6 to last the full day without having to re-wash between ever meal.

Great week away with family!

We really enjoyed our vacation with our 3 adult children. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed the beach and the proximity to restaurants and shops. Bill, the owner was terrific to work with and provided lots of details and information.

Great Cape vacation in Hyannis!

Our family of five had a wonderful vacation. While staying at this property, we were central to everything- restaurants, Hyannis Main Street, and the multiple ferries to the islands. Everything in the condo was as expected and Bill was very responsive throughout the whole process with check in details, condo rules, etc. I would recommend this location to others looking for a relaxing vacation in the Cape!

Terrific vacation spot

Our stay at Bill's place was terrific! We loved being able to walk out from the back deck to the beach, and the pool was great for the kids. The condo was perfect for our group - we never felt cramped with all the beds, bathrooms, 2 living rooms and 3 decks. Bill is lovely, was very responsive before and during our stay, and even managed to find us an extra parking spot last minute! We'd rent again in a heartbeat!

Susan Jamison and her family took care of our beachfront home so for that reason, we would welcome her and her family back for their next Cape Cod Vacation. Susan experienced some minor problems that I was able to get corrected for her on a timely basis. Normally before the season begins we spend several weeks living in the unit making repairs and upgrades for our renters for the coming season. Unfortunately, due to a health issue we were not able to do that this year. I am grateful to Susan for pointing out these issues so that we could correct them for her family and future Guest.

Great location on the Cape!

We had such a great trip and Bill made our stay so easy! The property is in the perfect location, walk out to the beach and 5-10 min drive to restaurants, shopping and ferry. The place was clean and spacious, it’s a little out dated but the location can’t be beat. Bill was incredibly helpful and gave perfect instructions which made everything so easy. He was very responsive whenever I had any questions. I hope we have a chance to stay again!

Great summer vacation with young kids

We had a great time in Hyannis. We split the condo with another family. In total there were 4 adults and 4 kids (ages: 3, 5, 5, 8). The combination of being right on the beach plus having access to a pool was awesome for our kids. Another highlight is a creek down the beach where we caught crabs. Tons to do in Hyannis. Lots of good family friendly restaurants and boat tours. Check in process was easy and condo was just as described.

June in Hyannis

The location and size of the property were fantastic. There were areas of the house that need updating such as blinds and the bathrooms. The fact the outdoor pool was closed until end June would have been useful information to get while managing an excited 6 year old who loves to swim in the pool!

I know that Clare was disappointed that the pool was not open but our listing clearly stated that the pool was not open until mid-June and her reservation ended on the 15th of June clearly the June midpoint. Her reservation week was discounted by30% for her off-season week because the pool is not open in early June. It is now open and the rent is increasing. We agree the unit needs some updating which we have planned for the fall of this year.

Location, Location, Location!

We had a wonderful vacation at the Yachtsman in Hyannis. Bill is an excellent and responsive host! The unit is exactly as it appears in the VRBO photos. Only steps from the deck to the beach! Town is a short walk. The townhouse easily and comfortably can accommodate 6 adults. Having a living room and den to relax in (both with ocean views) was a huge plus! We will be back!

The Yachtsman complex is a great location, as is this unit with beautiful beach and harbor views. Communication with the owner was very good. He provided a lot of information and clear instructions for check-in, etc. The unit is comfortable, has everything needed. Finishes could be updated a bit but you just can't beat the ease of walking straight out to the beach.

When you read Karen’s review you probably question, as I did of her, why the 4 star and not a 5 star rating. Her response, “I Actually gave you a 5 stars on everything except the overall so I was surprised to see it said 4. I’m sorry about that” Go Figure! I know she was upset that work was being done on the supports to our first-floor deck during her stay limiting her direct access to the beach. But that’s to be expected when you rent off season, that’s why its heavily discounted.

A gem in the rough

Location location location. The unit is in a prime location on the Lewis Bay. The online pictures of the harbor couldn’t be more accurate. A quick bike ride or walk will get you to the HyLine or Steamship Authority ferries, a couple decent restaurants and downtown Hyannis. This is an older unit that needed some attention. I relayed the items to the owner who was thankful for the feedback and promised to have their handyman look into the items the day we left - nothing needed immediate attention. The bottom line is our stay was like a visit to grandma’s house with a great beach and view. We would stay again.

For sure we are thankful for Natachs’s feedback on the issues she discovered in our unit that our handyman was able to address after she and her friends checked out on Saturday including oiling the master bedroom slider to the deck making it slide much easier, fixing the back stove burner and calking the main bath shower to prevent a leak. I concluded from our communications that we were likely the age of her grandparents and like them, we enjoy oriental rugs, carpet in the bedrooms, and runners on the stairs and hallways. I think it’s a bit unfair that she dinged us a star on her rating because our tastes are a generation apart from hers, but she was an excellent guest, and we would welcome her back as she indicated for her next Cape Cod Vacation.

We have been renting our beach front condo through VRBO for 14years. We enjoy the fact that durning this period our guest have taken care of our property as though it was their own. We are proud of the fact that we have been able to return 100%of the value of the security deposits to 100 % of our guest. For this reason and the fact that we often use the property ourselves we continuously update and keep the property fresh and clean.
We are a retired couple living in several locations in addition to the Cape. We take pride in this property and enjoy doing things to keep it current, comfortable and well equipped for your enjoyment and ours.

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love the Cape and Feel the Yachtsmen's location makes it an ideal vacation spot. Plus we have reduced our rates by anywhere from 10% for the premium in-season rates to 15 % for the regular in-season weeks to share with you the VRBO service fee and the burden of the Massachusetts lodging Tax. That's a savings for you of $450 to $700 depending on the week you chose for your vacation. Please check the Yachtsman rental rates through your favorite Cape Cod rental agent.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location plus the feeling that you are at a real first-class place on the Ocean when you're there with all the comforts of home. The condo is fully equipped, the only thing you will need to bring is your toothbrush. The one comment we get from all our guest is "WHAT A GREAT LOCATION". You get all of the above at a bargain rate. For example, similar Beach Front Units to ours rent at the Yachtsman through rental agents for $4000 to $4400 a week plus the Massachusetts lodging Tax. Please note others at the Yachtsman who also rent through Vrbo state they are on the beach, They are not. They show pictures of the beach from the common areas.
