Great location condo

We are a family of 6 so convenience is a must. This condo was in an awesome location. It was easy quick access to the beach. There was always a spot on the property to park. The location to restaurants and activities was great. Check-in was easy. Would definitely stay here again.

Spring Trip

Love the proximity to the ocean and the deck. We like staying at the Florence in general. The only downside of this condo is the carpet in the bedroom, but the discounted price accounts for that. Absolutely love the chairs on the deck.

Location - great beachfront - place clean-enough furniture ( bed and sofa) has the Beat Up wore out and uncomfortable feel but few worries about ruining anything. So low stress from that angle.

The beachfront view was great. We really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony when we were not out on the beach. The condo was cozy. We had some issues with the TV & internet connection but maintenance came out right away & fixed it. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay.

Works great for a couple

Was a nice condo and location. It is on the small side but ok for a couple. If you are planning on cooking meals while there, the Kitchen is TINY!! but workable for small simple meals. The Bed is small also but again workable. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a nice short stay. Everything was expected. The bed was comfortable. The couch not so much. The place was dated but immaculately cleaned! I’ve stayed many places and this place had zero dirt or dust, nothing!! Good job!

Great location for a family beach trip

Couldn’t have asked for a better location, just a 5-minute walk to the beach. View was wonderful. The condo was clean when we got there and the free towel exchange is great. The furniture needs to be updated—some of the chairs were falling apart. The mattresses are sleepable. I would choose this condo again for the location and hope they update the furniture and mattresses.

Friendly & Maintained Property

We love staying at The Florence. It is on the beach and the parking rules are enforced. The property company was on-call 24/7 and quickly responded to any issues. We love SPI and will return. The rental itself was exactly what is advertised. It is humble, but it works. We would happily stay again.If we are able to rent this condo again, we will bring a fan. We are from a drier part of the state and need more air circulation. LOL. There were some previous reviews that had carpet concerns. I am going to second those concerns. It is incredibly considerate of the owner to allow guests to bring their animals, but I do think some animals have gotten a little too comfortable in the carpeted areas. Overall the rental is great for the price, the location is fabulous, and the rental company was phenomenal.

Condo needs updating

Furniture is very old, worn and dirty. Ceiling has several spots missing texture and is cracked with pieces hanging down. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets are in bad shape. Carpeting in bedroom is worn and filthy. Even though the location is right on the beach, I would not rent this unit again.

The only good thing about this place was the view — absolutely beautiful and the only highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, everything else was a major letdown.We booked a non-smoking unit, but the bedroom was carpeted and smelled heavily of smoke. The curtains also reeked, and the carpet was stained throughout, making the room feel dirty and uninviting. The mattresses were very uncomfortable, adding to the sleepless nights. Some nights, we couldn’t even sleep in the bedroom because it was so bad.The layout was strange, with a long, dark hallway leading to a bright living room, thanks to the view. However, the furniture didn’t match the photos online, which was disappointing.The elevators were hot and stuffy, and the hallways smelled musty and were poorly lit, making the whole building feel neglected. Each morning I’d wake up coughing from the smoke smell, and I felt sick during much of the stay.Two positives: the view and the elevator for moving our things — but that’s where it ends.I will never stay here again. It was a truly unpleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful view, very dated condo.

If you want a great view of the gulf and easy access to the beach this is the place for you. The condo is a decent size for two. Bed was comfortable and condo was sufficiently stocked with kitchen supplies. On the down side the carpet in the bedroom was disgusting. We had to place puppy pads all over the carpet to walk in the bedroom. The sofa was probably 50 years old and very uncomfortable. Both of us fell to the middle when sitting on it. The recliner needs a good cleaning. Renovations next door continued all month. Noise and odour were very annoying. I would conclude in saying if the down sides were taken care of we would recommend this place.

302 florence 1

The property was well-maintained. It was clean, the pool was serviced every day. The boardwalk was cleaned every day and there were no bugs. I do have issues about the unit I stayed in though. There was no blender provided, there was no hot water. It was warm at best. The headboard on the bed had barbs and little nails sticking out from it where I cut my hand one night when I reached back to fluff my pillow. The carpeting in the bedroom was dirty and had stains on it when I arrived. I got down on my hands and knees with soap and water and cleaned it for three consecutive days to get it clean. The stopper in the kitchen for the drain was the wrong size and you couldn’t fill the sink to do the dishes. The Internet/wi~fi was very poor and slow, and the cabling to the TVs was a nightmare of lines and boxes that was almost the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t get the TV in the bedroom to work even after a maintenance man came and supposedly fixed it. The sink in the bathroom would not drain right. A maintenance man came and put some liquid down it but then immediately flushed it. My dad was a plumber and that’s not how you do it. You let it sit to dissolve everything and then you flush it. Of course within, a day or two it was draining poorly again. The redeeming feature was the view and the five minute walk it took to get onto the beach. They have a very nice hot tub that has really hot water in it instead of lukewarm bathwater, and it was very invigorating and relaxing.

This property is located on a quiet, family friendly, less crowded part of the island. Although an older property, it was clean and well maintained. The direct beach access and breathtaking gulf front view cannot be matched for the price. The condo furnishings were older, but comfortable. The hall bunks were large enough for my 6 foot tall son to sleep comfortably. Not to mention check in/check out could not have been easier. We will definitely be returning!

Nice I lace for the price and location

The listing was accurate and the location and proximity to the beach was awesome. The property recently upgraded their beach access and it is really nice! The condo is a little dated and there were some basic kitchen supplies not available. The unit could use a through, deep clean for the baseboards and ceiling. However, the bed was comfortable and the view is spectacular.
