Tiki#234 is owned by Jackie and Jim Gallup. Tiki#234 is one of only 12 Tiki condos that face directly to the beach. Recently remodeled, It is among the best Tiki Condos and the Gallup’s offer it at the lowest price of any Direct BeachFront Tiki Condo. It is located away from Clayton’s Beach Bar and construction of the new Marriott Hotel.

Our Direct BeachFront Tiki#234 Condo has the best beach views on SPI. NOT just a partial beach view from a beachfront complex, we have SPECTACULAR full-views of the Gulf of Mexico. Both master bedroom and living room open to 20 ft balcony through new sliding patio doors that keep the unit quiet. One flight of stairs to peace and privacy with a direct panoramic view of the ever-changing Gulf of Mexico. Watch the sunrise and listen to the waves from our new bar-height pub chairs or from your bedroom.

Condo has a king size bed in the bedroom and 2 recliners and queen sleeper sofa in the living room. There is an upgraded kitchen and remodeled bath with a walk-in shower. We have 2 flat screen TVs, Wi-Fi and cable with 6 HBO channels. We provide linens, bath and beach towels and a full kitchen. The Condo has dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, blender, hairdryer, ceiling fans, dehumidifier and much more.

The condo's bedroom includes a new built-in desk and dresser with 30+ drawers and 12 feet of hanger space. If this condo is not available for the dates you need, consider our other Tiki Condominium (Tiki#140 and VRBO #838470). This ground floor condo is a large (750 sqft) one bedroom unit 25 steps from the beach. Tiki#140 is also less expensive than our Direct BeachFront Tiki#234.

Family-friendly Tiki Condominium is located at north end of SPI. Across Padre Blvd is Sea Turtle Inc. and SPI Birding and Nature Center. (See picture of turtle release.) Nearby is golfing at the SPI Golf Club in Laguna VIsta, the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, SPI's Schlitterbahn Water Park and visiting Mexico at the Progresso border crossing. There is fishing in the surf, deep sea or bay fishing trips, dolphin watching and horseback riding. There is volleyball at Clayton’s Beach Bar, swimming and windsurfing and miles of open pristine beach. The Tiki is great for families, 2 heated swimming pools, on-site coin laundry, free long distance and beautiful landscaping.

Beach Front Beach Front Beach Front!! My family and I had an amazing time. The Views and Atmosphere here at the TIKI are on another Level. The morning jogs/bike rides cannot be beat on this island. South Padre Island is my Second Home, and I plan to be a permanent resident as soon as I retire from my business in Houston Tx. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Perfect Condo and Location on SPI

The condo was perfect for us. It was lightly refreshed and very clean. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay on SPI this is an excellent choice. Our stay was over the July 4th weekend and even with Clayton’s Beach Bar about 200 yards away the noise on July 4th from all the beach goers and music was minimal when the sliding doors were closed. The Tiki condo complex is well kept, has security checking for parking passes and wristbands to ensure those on the property should be there. The Tiki front desk quickly checked us in and explained where the laundry room, libraries, pools, and larger trash bins were located.
Watching the fireworks on July 4th from the condo balcony. (There are fireworks every Friday & Saturday that you will be able to see from the comfort of the balcony.)

Prime beach location

Location is prime for beach experience. Next to Bar Louie and Clayton's is convenient for food and drinks while at the beach during the day. Had front row patio view for weekend fireworks at Bar Louie pier. Overall condo was good except for living room sofa bed & recliners. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable and probably ready for a replacement and some electrical plugs weren't working properly. Everything else was good as advertised.

Great views!

The best thing about this condo was that it was facing the beautiful Gulf and it allowed dogs. You could walk downstairs and be on the beach. Unfortunately, it was really dirty and gross; mold was in the bathroom, human hairs everywhere on the floor, linens weren’t clean, and the furniture was really old, worn, and stained. I read in the description that it had been remodeled, but it looked like it had been many, many years ago. Clayton’s and the Marriott next door were loud in the evenings, which was not what I understood from the description.

Great View

The condo was clean and in a good location. The beach view was awesome. Everything was good with 2 exceptions. We had an extremely hard time locking both sliding glass doors. The other thing was the condo really needs to be remodeled. Other than the shower and the flooring, everything else is really old. Too many personal decorations and pictures. Should be a lighter feeling inside. Total update needed.

I cleaned the property before we left and it was left as clean or cleaner than when we arrived. Disabled wife had spiked chocolate ice cream in the bed which I didn’t catch. ( my mistake) The owner claimed it was dog puke ( no dog) and claimed the condo was trashed. I was charged 200$. Didn’t mind paying for any ruined bedding but false allegations were concerning.

We shared pictures with the renter, it was so bad that our housekeeper had to throw away the bedspread, all sheets and mattress cover plus towels. We have never had so much damage. Renter said there was no dog, but we did find a dog bone in the bed. It was a hugh mess. The damage was much higher than the VRBO damage waiver allows.

That about sums up the reason to stay at this condo….Great View…the place is old and if cleaned properly it would be a nice place to stay…the worst was having filthy floors in every room! We arrived when it was raining so we took our shoes off in condo and our socks where filthy within minutes of inspecting the area…I have no idea what Covid clean is but it ain’t what we walked into especially the bathroom…the kitchen faucet doesn’t swivel and is therefore stuck between the sink…just a few of the complaints..it rained almost all of our time there so we were stuck in a moldy smelling condo (you are not allowed to leave sliding doors open and have to keep a/c on even when it’s colder outside) not sure why that is? Don’t like leaving on a negative so I will repeat the condo has a Great View.

Quiet and on the beach

Can't get any closer to the beach. Facing East, bright and hot on the balcony in the morning but afternoon/evening very nice. Despite two major bars next door, they are on the North side and this condo is on the South so heard nothing. It's an older place but nice. Really only in it for sleeping and breakfast.

This property is one of a dozen or so that face the beach, very rare and fun! It is on the second level which is also a plus. Living space is less than 1000 sq feet but is as advertised, a comfortable place to stay. Overall is in a great location with bars/restaurants next door. We will definitelyp stay here again!
