Escape to Calypso's Vacation Rentals (20-25 minutes from the Malecon) 20 minutes to Walmart . This property offers privacy and endless miles of beach..

Casita Calypso is perfect for families (4 guests max) or a couple!

This 2 bedroom/2 bath casita has an upgraded kitchen with new cabinets and granite, upgraded bathrooms, open living space, massive outdoor patio area, and is securely gated with security cameras (2) in the back and front (security cameras are turned off during your scheduled stay. We respect your privacy!).

Tile flooring, stainless fridge, gas stove, large flat screen SmartTV (no cable access) plenty of movie entertainment and internet access. NOTE, there’s no hot tub. Due to a VRBO issue, that amenity is not available despite it (maybe) being marked.

Brand new Mini Split A/C units (3 units) installed in 2021 and as recently as 2022.

We are a pet friendly (additional fee) and kid friendly rental!

ACCESS:
No early check-in and/or late check-out without owner's written approval. This is strictly enforced.

WATER USAGE:
Water is trucked in so we ask guests to have a conservative mind-set. As part of the rental rate, we provide 1400 gallons of water every 3 days. Excessive use of water (requiring it to be filled sooner than 3 days) will result in an additional fee of $40, per fill.

PETS are permitted with payment of the pet fee.

Great time lots of shells

Great weather lots of shells walking on the pristine beach. Great house. 5 star Instant hot water great fridge great heaters. Owners are awesome. Highly recommend this for people that want to get away from the hustle and bustle

Tranquil beach

Peaceful getaway place.

My friend and I had such a peaceful relaxing stay here! The casita was perfect for us. We loved how it was located in a quiet area RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Loved the covered back patio over looking the ocean, the windowed wall from the living and kitchen area overlooking the ocean, the friendly neighbors, and the simplicity of our stay. Will definitely rent again!

Beautiful beach

We had a fabulous stay in this lovely casita. It was well equipped with everything we needed to cook and enjoy the pristine beach. We had a very minor glitch and it was immediately taken care of. The communication with the owners was excellent. We will definitely book again!

Perfect Getaway

Cute home equipped with everything you need. Unbeatable view!!! Wake up to a private beach right in your front yard. If you want to get away from it all, this is it. We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Casita Calypsito very much. Since we are not into night life or big crowds, we found this property to be perfect for us. Approximately 25 minutes away from major stores. Oxxo, Bodega Aurrera, Sam's club etc. We strongly recommend this place if you want to feel at home away from home.

Amazing Beach Location

We took our dog with us to the beach this time and have a wonderful experience. The property is exactly as described. The beach was wonderful to walk on, lots of shells and fun things to find. Not many people. Two families live here, permanently, and most other houses were empty for our visit. It was delightful to hear ocean waves. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go again.

Quiet beach get away

Serene quiet beautiful, comfortable home with everything we needed for our week stay! All amenities were here for our family of 4. We did ask ahead about purified water, so we knew to bring our own. So quiet, relaxing, hosts were super responsive & handled a small issue we had promptly & kindly. Their Directions to house were spot on. Would highly recommend for your next off the beaten path, quiet beach get-away!

A perfect getaway

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Casita Calypsito. The house's location, right on the beach, cannot be beat. The house is well-stocked and has comfortable beds. We enjoyed the fact that the house is further out of town; we saw few people and had the beach to ourselves for the most part. We had one small issue caused by mother nature, and the owners responded immediately and took care of it promptly. The best part, for us, was that we were able to bring our dog. He absolutely loved the beach!

Amazing view and amazing privacy

Great spot. I’ve rented several properties in the area and this has been my favorite. Tons of privacy and it is steps from the beach. A little farther from downtown which we prefer because we rarely saw anyone at all. Guards were friendly and the neighborhood seemed very safe. The picture don’t do it justice, it was much nicer than I expected. It is a small place which was perfect for me and my fiancé ( I proposed on the beach). It has everything you need in a compact and cozy space, great for couples or small families. I’ll be renting here again for sure

Best beach ever…

We’ve vacationed at several of Puerto Penasco’s more Southern beaches and I am absolutely convinced that Playa Dorada is the best. We booked this vacation rental for the week of Spring Break but were able to enjoy the beach without any of the crazy. The house is fully stocked with everything you need. Comfortable and well stocked with everything you’ll need. The front patio is HUGE and inviting. There’s even a gated back yard that provides an extra feeling of security. Mark and Kelly were so kind and responsive in answering all questions. I would recommend this property to all. So grateful for an amazing experience and being able to return home with happy hearts!

Owners are semi-retired living in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mark enjoys golf, volunteering at church (CCV) and traveling. Kelly enjoys managing the vacation rentals (and will be your main contact during your stay), volunteering at various animal rescues and traveling.

Playa Dorada beach is great for families and couples wanting to get away and enjoy a quiet week/weekend.

Why they chose this property

Being away from the Malecon allows guests to enjoy nature up close: we've seen seahorses (so cool!), octupus, turtles (from time to time), and dolphins. This is a kid and pet friendly property and allows parents to enjoy a cocktail on the patio while watching their kiddos from the covered patio. Life can't get any better!

We come down to Rocky Point regularly and have built our dream home right next door, Casa Calypso.

Rocky Point visitors who come down for the parties will likely pass on this property, as we are located in a group of houses. If you enjoy the sounds of the ocean and serenity then Playa Dorada is for you.
