Dearest Shane, I'm happy you liked Salò, I love it myself so much :) Unfortunately the road noise is inevitable as the house is nested on the lake shore. Your feedback is very much appreciated tho, as this winter, when we take care of restorations, we'll also work on noise insulation. Our Villa Angela gets improvements every year, and AC is surely on the list, as soon as we can afford it! Right now our prices are competitive but we hope we'll be able to enter the luxury market in the near future. Thanks again for your stay, it was a pleasure having you, ciao :) Irene

Dear Tom, thank you for your review. I am really sorry you experienced some discomforts during your stay. The tub in the 3rd bathroom couldn't be used as the pipe underneath had broken, and there is no way to fix it but having the entire piping redone. We already have arranged everything to have the bathroom entirely renovated at the end of the season, as we can't do it now with guests in the house. All what was not functioning though was the tub, and there are other two fully functioning bathrooms in the house. As per the yard work, a huge garden like ours requires constant attention (and is home to a little ants). I am sorry if my presence working in the background has upset you. In the description I wrote exactly that you should expect seeing me working in the garden. I was there only for a couple of days though, after which I had to leave you alone in the property for the rest of your stay. I was 80km away for work, and unfortunately couldn't come fix the door on your closet, neither the router. I am glad you decided to give us three stars anyways, and if you came back I'd be happy to offer you a special price to make up for the problems you encountered (which will be fixed for next season!). Dearest Silke, thank you for your review. Everyday I work to make Villa Angela better and better, and therefore I appreciate you having pointed out the problems you encountered. This is not a modern house, but a historical mansion furnished with antiques that needs continuous restoration. The chairs that weren't on your balcony were being restored (by the same woman you saw on the premises). The doors will be fixed too, in time. Little by little. Viel Luft nach oben. As you can read in the host description, it says I live on site, in a separate portion of the property, as I am the gardener and the caretaker. This is also stated on the lease agreement you accepted via VRBO. Other than seeing me working in the garden, my guests don't share the place with anybody else, as the property is rented entirely. A villa like this needs work to be done every day, and it is necessary for somebody to be working in the background. It's a bit like going to the restaurant: you shouldn't notice the waiter, but you know they are there to work for you. I need to point out I never enter the part of the house which is rented to my guests and I absolutely value their privacy. I am glad anyways that you liked the place enough to give us 4 stars, and I strive to earn the 5th next time you'll be back! Sincerely, Irene
