A delightful barn conversion, this cottage is set amid breathtakingly beautiful Exmoor countryside on a 60-acre traditional sheep and beef farm. Just 0.5 miles from the delightful village of Bratton Fleming, the cottage has been renovated to a very good standard from fine stone barns and still retains many characterful features such as sloping ceilings and exposed wooden beams. This property offers everything you and your family and friends would need for a great holiday in this wonderful part of North Devon.
With central heating and a wood burner in the dual-aspect living room, the cottage is ideal no matter the season and with a large open-plan living room and good-size bedrooms, the cottage provides ample space for all visitors. An attractive arched door leads from the living room to the fully enclosed shared rear garden and with further garden areas to the front of the property, there is ample space for relaxation, picnics and al fresco dining. Steps lead down to the cosy kitchen/diner which is an ideal place for dining or planning your day over leisurely breakfasts. Three bedrooms and a family bathroom occupy the first floor. A spacious double room with a TV and a twin both have apex ceilings and crossbeams. A second twin room has sloping ceilings and a Velux window offering delightful country views. The owner welcomes visitors to enjoy exploring the farmlands and enjoying the wide-ranging views.
This area is a haven for wildlife including the famous Exmoor deer. Walks along local footpaths and bridleways are close by and the village has a Millenium Green offering circular woodland walks, an enclosed children’s play area and an assault course. Beautiful and private farm house, lovely countryside scenery, good location. Anything you want to visit in Exmoor/Devon is no more than half hour drive away. Well equipped kitchen, and all necessary cleaning products and all necessary toiletries provided, so you don't have to run to the shops immediately. Very friendly and respectful host. Do check out the nearest pub, called the Black Venus! Amazing 5* restaurant quality meals! I'd go back there just to eat there again. We had an amazing time with the kids overall.
