Beautiful and relaxing!

Amazing stay! This house was a great choice for our group. It had plenty of space to spread out and relax on your own or gather together in the kitchen or main room. Beautiful views surround this house. We went for morning walks and sat out in the evening enjoying the property and the incredible weather. The owners always got back to you right away when booking and gave us great suggestions on the area and places to go. So glad we found this place! Stay here....you will love it!

Hilltop house

The location in the Ribbon Ridge area is terrific—wonderful vistas, proximity to a number of wineries and one very cool distillery, lovely 4 bedroom/3 bathroom house. My wife, her sister, her sister’s husband, and I just finished a week there—our second visit to this property in two years. High marks! Don N

Lovely Property

The house was great for our group of adults on a wine weekend. Would definitely stay here again. Due to forest fires there was a possibility of power being turned off by the utility. Our group debated whether to cancel, but decided to move ahead. Really appreciated the owners’ willingness to work with us had we decided not to go.

Perfect Bucket List Trip to Willamette Valley

The property was gorgeous, spacious, secluded and well stocked. Our group of seven ladies had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy our winery finds. Plenty of seating and wonderful views both inside the house and out in the yard. Communication with the host was great.

Oregon Getaway

The property had beautiful views from every room. The location was great and it was easy to drive the Willamette Valley to visit wineries for tastings. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings in the comfy chairs overlooking the valley and the beautiful night sky. We would definitely come back.

hilltop hideaway

This home is in a stunning location, surrounded by vineyards, with sunrise and sunset views. The house was perfect for our large group. We had plenty of room to spread out, but also comfortable places to gather in the living room. We loved the recliners in front of the large picture windows! The house feels like it's located on top of the world, but is close to several excellent wineries. We enjoyed our days of sightseeing in Newberg, Dayton and Dundee, but loved returning to this beautiful home for dinners, sunsets and early morning walks.

Wonderful place to relax

The layout gives guests privacy, but it also has a great open space for gathering in the living room and dining room! Kitchen had all the things we need to do some cooking. The views are fantastic. Tim is very accommodating and responsive. We would definitely like to come back.

Great views and off the beaten path vino!

We really enjoyed our stay. Views are stunning. House was very comfortable for our group of 7. We really liked the configuration of the common room as our whole group could sit in the round and visit. House is nicely decorated and usable. Modern touches show the place is well maintained. Kitchen was very usable and well equipped. We have been in this area many times, but we usually stay closer to Dundee. This location gave us some exposure to sites and wineries that we normally don’t get. The living room TV had accessible HDMI ports in case you want to play movies off of a tablet. I suspect we will be back.

Wonderful stay in this home on Ribbon Ridge!

Our group of five was extremely satisfied during our stay in this Ribbon Ridge AVA home. The directions provided by the owners were spot on and clearly explained. We had no problems navigating our way around and out to all the nearby wineries. The view out the back picture windows each morning in the movie theater recliners was something we looked forward to every day. The fully stocked kitchen made preparing meals a breeze. We found the home so comfortable that we prepared most dinners right there and ate at the large dinning table. We made use of the gas grill, conveniently located off the kitchen on the back patio. The audio and video systems were a breeze to use with clear instructions provided. After dinner, wines collected during tastings at nearby wineries were enjoyed while relaxing in the expansive living room area. The bedrooms and baths were great. Plenty of bedding and towels were provided. The home owners provided plenty of information about the area. Included information covered wineries( some walkable) restaurants and other attractions and services. We all would not hesitate to recommend The Ridgeview Home to any group planning a visit to Oregon Wine Country!

Ribbon Ridge Retreat

Our group of four couples enjoyed our stay in your lovely house. We found the updated home to be spacious and comfortable. Loved the four recliners! Each morning we took turns relaxing in the recliners in front of the big windows drinking coffee and enjoying the views. It was exciting to be conveniently in the country surrounded by vineyards and we visited many. We had a memorable trip to your beautiful Willamette Valley and highly recommend your lovely house on Ribbon Ridge Road. Mary

Beautiful House with Beautiful Views

This was the perfect house for our trip. We had 4 couples and were able to explore Portland, Eugene, and wine country all from this home. Not only were there plenty of bedrooms, but plenty of common space so that we never felt cramped when we were eating or chatting. (Some homes have enough beds, but not enough common space - not the case here!) The views down the valley were incredible from this house at the top of the ridge. I would love to get back to this area soon - and I'll definitely be trying to stay at this house again when I do make it back.

About the host

Hosted by Tim Pitts

Host profile image
We are two couples, Rob and Janet, and Jacob and Tim. We've been friends for years and live in Portland. Rob and Janet work for non-profit organizations, Tim is a real estate agent, and Jacob is a contractor. We love getting out to the country and we love to drink delicious wine, so we decided to buy this property together.

Why they chose this property

The views and the setting are incredible--the house is situated on a hilltop, surrounded by rolling vineyards and farmland. It's a serene, wonderful escape, in the heart of the Willamette Valley wine country--just the spot to get away from the city and relax with friends.
