With the unit come beach chairs, towels, toys, swim fins and goggles, coolers, and, of course, the Florida snowshovel (for shelling and hunting sharksteeth). Highly recommend!

This was a great condo for my weekend girls trip. Karen was a wonderful host and even made sure we had a few shark's teeth to begin our weekend of hunting! The condo was clean and exactly as described. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach and a very short walk to the downtown area. Comfy bed and sofa, great wifi, nice channel selection, and a shower with excellent water pressure... what more could you ask for!? My only suggestion would be to maybe add a solid curtain to the sliding door instead of just the sheer, but that's really just personal preference. Everything was great and I would definitely stay here again!

Delightful Historic Venice Florida Condo

The condo is exactly where you need to be to experience all Venice has to offer. 1 block from the beach; the short walk to the historic downtown shopping district is beautiful. My wife and I took our bicycle's down and enjoyed the bike friendly trails and streets. The owner Karen is extremely friendly and helpful and went out of her way to share her knowledge of the area with us. The conversation on the drive home always returned back to "let's do this again soon."

This property was just perfect. Comfortable, cozy and thoughtfully supplied with beach paraphernalia this end unit opens up to a shared patio with chairs and tables. The location is perfect as you can walk into town or down to the beach.

Excellent location!

We loved this cute, clean, comfortable condo in paradise! Perfectly located so close to the beach and a short walk to downtown. It was so nice to take our daily walks through the park under the shade of the banyan trees and palms! An added bonus was hunting for shark teeth at Casperson Beach just a short drive away! Great restaurants and shopping nearby too! We will definitely come back!

I am a retired quilting, garment constuction and hand embroidery teacher from East Lansing, MI. I have been coming to Venice, FL for as long as I remember as my grandfather built a home here in the early 50's. My parents lived in the same home and I with them full time from 2000 until their passing in 2009.
I returned to MI for a few years, but Venice drew me back and I now live in Venice. I've always been physically active, from running a marathon, skiing, tennis, boating and the usual Michigan and Fl activities.
Life's short... play hard.... :)

Why they chose this property

Being on Venice Island means you are a bit off the beaten track. While there are restauants everywhere, there is no fast food, 1 grocery store, 1 Walgreens. It's homey and quaint, with a beachy unhurried casual feel. Lots of walking and bike riding, sun bathing and smiling.

What makes this property unique

There is something special about being in a small town. Everyone is friendly, everything is within walking distance, it's tropical and I love it. The condo is homey but efficient and close to the water and town. What can i say.... it's paradise.
