About this property
Idyllic village location on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park
Rowan Cottage is located in the heart of the village of Healey, in an elevated position overlooking part of the 20,000 acre Swinton Estate with its fusion of rolling pasture, woodland and moorland dales. This conservation village is situated in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Dating back to the 1800’s this is truly a charming property. There is a welcoming sitting room with views to the front and an open fire for those cooler days (extra logs and coal are available for an additional charge). There is a well equipped kitchen with views over the enclosed rear garden and a separate dining room with direct access to the south facing enclosed front garden.
Rowan Cottage sleeps up to 4 persons (2 + 2) with two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. The double bedroom has a built in wardrobe with a window to the front taking full advantage of the extensive views. The second bedroom has bunk beds (please note that the top bunk has restricted headroom) and overlooks farmland to the rear. The bathroom benefits from a bath with shower over together with a basin and WC.
Outside there is a pretty enclosed south facing front garden perfect for alfresco dining whilst gazing at the picturesque and far reaching views. Stone steps lead up to the enclosed rear garden backing on to open countryside.
