This beachside house is situated in the coastal Devon village of Shaldon and can sleep six people in three bedrooms.

The Dolphins is a lovely house directly beside the beach in the Devon village of Shaldon. The house sleeps six people in two double bedrooms (one with en suite bathroom and balcony) and a twin, plus family shower room. On the ground floor are an open plan living space with seating area with balcony, dining area and kitchen area, and a snug. Outside are the two balconies with fabulous views. In a charming coastal village, The Dolphins is a smashing cottage for a wonderful Devon break all year round.

Amenities: Central heating, electric fires with underfloor heating. Microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Sky DVD, Wii Console, WiFi, Phone, Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available on request. Off road parking for one car in garage 500 yards from property, alternative parking is available in a public car park nearby. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry no smoking. Pub less than 1 mile from property. Note: This property sleeps a maximum of 6 people, including babies.

Region: Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Town: Shaldon is a pretty Regency village on the opposite bank to the historic, seaside town of Teignmouth in South Devon. It's on the mouth of the Teign estuary and boasts pubs, shops, tea rooms, and a small zoo.

How lucky were we

Property as described other than Sykes who we booked through said it had a garden which was very high on our list of requirements, however it did not stop us enjoying the week and the weather held for us. We had trips out to Torquay, 15 minutes, Sidmouth a bit further but well worth a visit, a game of golf for the men and good food in the local cafes/restaurants.
