Lovely property with every item you could possibly need!

We had a wonderful family holiday in this house over the summer. Kids loved the heated pool, adults loved the well stocked kitchen, amazing amount of space and great location close to the beach. Betty was a very welcoming host who really helped us to enjoy our stay, would highly recommend and will be back!

La Rochelle

Very nice house. We enjoyed the pool and found it in easy to self cater. The kitchen was well equipped and the supermarket was just next door. The location is really good for easy days out in La Rochelle.

We had a lovely time at this villa and a great holiday . The location is very nice but quiet . It’s a short drive to local beaches and La Rochelle but you do need to drive. The supermarket is very close so easy when cooking at the villa . The rooms were nice and a fully equipped kitchen . The pool was great and is exactly like the pictures lovely loungers and great space to have fun and relax with family . Lots of toilets and showers which is great with a big family . Downside there is no air con which we did know about but there was only 1 fan provided in the large living room space which was not enough. There is also a lot of mosquitos and as there is no air con you couldn’t leave doors and windows open .. mosquito nets would be very useful because of the heat , it would have really helped to be able to leave the doors open . It was very very hot and luckily we brought a couple of our own fans for the children’s bedroom’s otherwise it would have been difficult to sleep as the house does get very hot. Saying that it’s a lovely place and would return , if there was adequate fans provided and mosquito nets up to help with the problem with them , as we were bitten loads of times we would have given it 5 stars. Betty is very nice and helpful and lives in another house on the same grounds . It’s still very private for your stay here and It was never a problem.

this year has already been exceptionally hot by an extemely intense heat wave unprecedented and we have never experienced mosquito attacks like this before. I will make arrangements to remedy these inconveniences

Unfortunately, our stay was verydisappointing.The villa itself had some positives, but there were several issues that significantly affected our holiday.The mosquito problem was particularly bad. From around 7:30pmonwards, it was virtually impossible to sit outside without being bitten repeatedly. There was also a significant fly infestation, which made eating and relaxing outside unpleasant.The lack of air condition probably the biggest issue for us. The villa became very uncomfortable, particularly at night, and only one fan was provided, which was completely inadequate for our group. Unfortunately, theexperience after we left was also very stressful.The host carried out a walk-throughinspection before we departed, with five other adults present, and no damage or missing items were raised with us at the time. We were subsequently accused of causing damage and a claim was made against us through Vrbo. While we appreciate that Vrbo ultimately helped resolve the matter, having to deal with a damage claim after an already disappointing stay added considerable stress to our holiday. Overall, unfortunately, we would not return to this property and would not recommend it based on our experience.

We are deeply shocked and upset by this incident. Indeed, when you left, I was unable to see the various damages. On the TV stand, there were burn marks and scratches that had been concealed by the bottles you had oddly placed on the table. As for the broken items, most of them were found when the bins were emptied. There were eight of you, and perhaps some people in your group failed to inform you about this damage. The heatwaves this summer were exceptional, and it was difficult to anticipate them. We will consider appropriate solutions for the coming years.

Lovely villa

We had a great time. The villa had everything you needed - although the evenings were really hot and sticky as there is no aircon! There was everything we needed there and Betty was just lovely! Was on hand to help with anything we needed! There is a mum and baby hedgehog that come out to see you sometimes which made our little boy very happy. Close to the best boulangerie and a really good supermarket. Bus to Larochelle is about £1.10 or a 10 minute drive. Would come again!

First class villa

The property is amazing. We have stayed in lots of villas over the years but this is by far the best. There is everything you could wish for in the house, including a washing machine. It was also really good to have an en suite in each bedroom and a separate shower and toilet to use if you were in the pool or garden. There is also a really good supermarket right next door which is hidden by trees. Really handy if you’re having a bbq. We would highly recommend this property and Betty is a very pleasant, helpful host who lives in another house on the same site.

Lovely property in a great location

Great location and wonderful place to stay. My self, my wife and our two daughters both over 18. Walking distance to a Super U, two mins walk to a bakery and three mins walk to a gastro pub (which is excellent). 230 mins drive to La Rochelle and three tree climbing/activity centres within 1hr drive. The location could not be better. As for the villa, its really nice, lots of room. On the days we stayed in, its easy just to hang round the pool and catch the sun, plus there is a covered area if you want to sit in the shade and a BBQ. The kitchen and utility are full of the utilities that you would need. Double garage, with electric doors so you can put the cars in the shade. Its nice and quite even though it is very close to every thing. Big electric gates make it feel very secure. The owner lives close and is available if you need any assistance but otherwise, she leaves you alone. I would definately recommend. We had a great time.

Idéal

Très belle maison, au calme dans une propriété arborée; Son emplacement est idéal pour rayonner dans la région, La Rochelle étant à moins de 20mn en voiture. Le supermarché est à 5mn à pied, facile pour se ravitailler. La maison est très lumineuse, les chambres ont chacune leur salle de bains et wc. Chaque pièces donnent sur la piscine Merci à Betty pour son accueil et sa gentillesse Nous reviendrons avec plaisir
