If you are looking for peace and quiet during your leave, villa “la Petite Afrique” is the ideal location for you. This low-rise villa, situated on a private plot of 4,000 m², is located within the nature reserve “Plaine des Maures”, and is at the very end of a dead end street. From the extra-spacious various terraces of a total of more than 300 m² you can enjoy a wide view of numerous beautiful umbrella pines that are so characteristic of this nature reserve, and of the surrounding vineyards. The covered terrace of 40 m², located next to the heated swimming pool, is built of beautiful wooden trusses, and offers you an ideal place to enjoy the shade. The vastness of the various terraces makes it possible for you and your children to enjoy themselves.
This recently renovated villa has three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. One bedroom is a separate outbuilding in itself, offering even more rest to its residents. The living room seat can be converted into a bed, creating two additional sleeping places. The kitchen is new and is equipped with all modern appliances, such as an induction hob, a dishwasher and an American fridge with ice maker. A WEBER BBQ is available for enthusiasts. All rooms are equipped with new silent air conditioners TOSHIBA. TV and WIFI are of course available.
The space around the house can accommodate several cars.
The location in the nature reserve offers the opportunity to take several beautiful walks nearby.
Saint-Tropez and Saint-Maxime are only 25 km.

Great house near St Maxime

House is very nice, recently decorated with a modern feel and is spotlessly clean. Very well equipped, large kitchen. Pool area is large and beautiful with several different seating areas. Surrounding area is quite rural but local towns and coast are 15 - 30 mins drive. The approach road is unmade and slightly bumpy. It was fine for us but may pose a problem if you have a very low-riding sports car. Communications with the owner and property manager were excellent throughout and we would recommend this property as a good place to stay in the area.

Villa au top!

Magnifique villa, bien agencée et décorée.Tout y est bien pensé. Le panorama est super beau et au calme. La piscine hyper agréable. Le petit chalet parfait pour avoir un peu d indépendance (idéal pour un ado). J ai adoré la grande cuisine ! La villa se mérite car au bout d un chemin non bitumé mais cela a son charme. Je recommande vivement. Le propriétaire et la personne en charge de l accueil sont aux petits soins.

En raison de son emplacement dans la nature de la réserve naturelle, il arrive que des aiguilles de pin, des feuilles et de la poussière soufflent plus souvent dans la piscine. Nous demanderons au piscinier de passer plus souvent.

Séjour déconnectant à la petite Afrique

Nous avons passez un excellent séjour dans la propriété. La maison est très bien équipée et l'ambiance cocooning est soignée. L'extérieur est très bien pensée avec plusieurs terrasses qui permettent de profiter de l'ombre ou du soleil. La piscine, la vue sur les pins parasols et les cigales viennent compléter le dépaysement. Un excellent accueil à notre arrivée, un propriétaire qui s'est montré à l'écoute (il n'y a pas de linges de maison prévu mais il a été prévenant). Nous avons quitté ce petit havre de paix, ressourcés et enchantés. A recommander.

Amazing Pool & Blissful Air Conditioning!

A lovely villa with an outstanding pool area. The ice dispenser & chilled water was a huge plus. Good quality BBQ. Air Conditioning was a godsend. Nice welcome bottle of wine and water. We did have a few issues that other visitors may find useful to know about. Firstly when arrived at the villa (and unfortunately after the manager who met us had left) we realised that there was no bed linen or towels. When I queried this I was told that we were expected to either bring our own or pay extra for them. At the time of booking (hopefully the owner has changed this since) there was no mention of towels or linen not being included or any related charges. It would be difficult to bring your own linen, not just because of knowing bed sizes, mattress depth, pillow sizes etc but also the extra luggage space it would need while travelling. It’s debatable whether these charges would be more than buying some locally. The manager eventually arranged some linen and we made the beds up ourselves. Whilst the owner agreed that the property listing was unclear and kindly verbally agreed to waive the charges it was not until the end of the week (last day) that this was finally agreed leaving the uncertainty for the duration of our stay. When we booked we were charged an additional 100 Euro cleaning fee but the manager and owner wanted us to empty all the bins in the rooms, take the bin bags away to the nearby public refuse collection site and also clean the oven and the BBQ. We were also surprised to find that there was also no soap in 2 of the bathrooms and no spare toilet rolls. The first night there was an extremely loud party/event going on in the nearby Domaine Jare Vineyard, which meant we could not eat outside. The loud thumping music went on until the early hours of the morning. Fortunately this was the only night that this happened but worried us as it was the first night of our stay. The owner says this is a rare event, maybe 3 or 4 times a year. Another review mentions wasps, we had two nights that we could not eat outside due to the wasps which was a shame. Nevertheless the villa is lovely, well equipped and has great views across the vineyard. Apart from the first night we enjoyed peace & quiet for our stay although there was noise from time to time from the neighbours children playing in their pools. Be aware that the last 200 yards of the road are unsurfaced & may be an issue.

Une vue superbe sur la Plaine des Maures et les vignes

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine : la villa très bien équipée à l'intérieur, possède une grande piscine et une très grande terrasse pour se relaxer et prendre les repas. La vue est magnifique sur les vignes et les pins parasols. Seul point à connaitre c'est que le chemin d'accès n'est pas praticable avec une voiture de sport...ce qui était notre cas.

Bedankt om in onze vakantiewoning verbleven te hebben. Fijn om te horen dat U genoten heeft van het groot terras en het zwembad. De toegangsweg is inderdaad verhard met steenslag. Dit valt vaak voor bij een klein doodlopende straatje met slechts enkele huizen. Voor een gewone wagen is dat geen enkel probleem, maar voor een lage sportauto mogelijk wel. Onze excuses hiervoor.

Un petit paradis

Une maison bien entretenue et surtout super bien équipée aussi bien à l'intérieur ( 2 chambres avec 1 SDB par chambre) qu'à l'extérieur. Cette maison est idéale pour 4. Pour 6, il y a un petit chalet avec une chambre et une SDB. L'endroit est calme et situé au milieu des pins. Nous recommandons vivement cette maison !

Fantastisch !

Zeer praktisch en met smaak ingericht. Heel gemakkelijk dat iedereen zijn eigen badkamer heeft. Niks ontbreekt in keuken. Voor iemand die vakanties in de natuur, stilte, comfort en toch niet te ver van winkels wilt, is dit de ideale locatie. Geslaagde vakanties wat ons betreft !

Geweldig mooi huis!

Wat een geweldig huis is dit. Het huis heeft een heerlijke grote woonkamer, een grote woonkeuken en twee prima slaapkamers met ieder een eigen badkamer. Ook het aparte houten huisje met slaapkamer en badkamer voldoet perfect voor 2 gasten. In iedere kamer is een prima werkende airco - die we de afgelopen week hard nodig hadden. Het zwembad en buitenterras maakten ons geweldige vakantiegevoel helemaal compleet. Een kleine waarschuwing: zonder auto is dit huis niet bereikbaar. Wij hebben er in ieder geval van genoten en komen volgend jaar heel graag nog een keer terug.

Geweldige vakantie, zeer mooi pand, knappe locatie. Een aanrader.

Pluspunten: De villa is dik in orde, alle comfort is aanwezig, kasten zitten vol met alle benodigde servies, alle benodigde apparaten zijn aanwezig, de airco werkt goed, het zwembad is zeker in orde en altijd proper, de bedden zijn goed, het groot terras is mooi. De locatie is prachtig en het natuurreservaat is zalig om te gaan wandelen. Hond buurman en hulpvaardigheid buurman. We kregen elke dag bezoek van de lieve hond van de buren en soms zelfs nog van een andere hond uit de buurt. Mijn kinderen vonden dit natuurlijk geweldig en wij geraakten ook gehecht aan Lalou. Spijtig dat zij niet mee naar België mocht van de buurman. Mooi afgesloten domein, gaf privégevoel. Wijnboeren nabij. Ideale uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes. Fles water en wijn bij aankomst. Aanwezigheid papieren gidsen. Insectenlamp. Mooie verlichting van de tuin, het terras en het zwembad. Smaakvolle inrichting. Het mediteerbankje aan de rand van het domein vanachteren. Enkele minpuntjes: Last van wespen. We konden pas na zonsondergang het aperitief nemen op het terras. De tapas en drankjes zaten na enkele minuten vol met die beestjes. Een ritje heen en terug naar de (goede) bakker neemt rond de 45 minuten in beslag, rekening houdend met de wegenwerken/rode lichten/verkeer. Met een verlaagde BMW cabrio het zandweggetje doen was elke dag weer een uitdaging. Op sommige plekken moest ik bijna uitstappen en gaan duwen om geen schade te hebben door de kuilen in de grond. Achter het pand, helemaal door de velden uit, was er tijdens de weekdagen veel vrachtverkeer. Iets wat je niet verwacht in een natuurreservaat. De stofwolken waren enorm en op 1 dag stond de wind in onze richting, met veel stof/lawaai aan de villa tot gevolg. Er ligt daar een soort steenkapperij midden in de velden. Geen idee of dit permanent is, maar vervelend te noemen (en zeker voor die arme wijnboer daar, wiens wijnranken helemaal onder het stof zaten). Er was soms (vooral eerste week) een vervelende (riool?) geur in de 2de slaapkamer (2 enkele bedden). We lieten de deur naar het wc in die kamer dan ook zo veel mogelijk gesloten. Het inchecken is een beetje mis gelopen. Er was niemand aanwezig bij onze aankomst terwijl onze aankomsttijd was doorgegeven, dus we stonden voor gesloten deur en moesten even rondbellen om de huisbewaarster vast te krijgen. ok na uurke wachten. Persoonlijke tegenvaller, je mag hier niet barbecueën op houtskool (brandgevaar in het reservaat) en een Weber op gas is toch weer net niet dat.
