Great place to relax

A very nice house with cool, old furnishings and a well-equipped kitchen. Almost everything was perfect, we were very satisfied. To shower in the bathtub you have to make yourself small because the sloping roof is annoying. Using the shower takes some getting used to, but it's ok. :-). We would book the house again!

Gemütliches Haus in traumhafter Umgebung

Das Haus bietet Meerblick und liegt in unmittelbarer Umgebung des Coastal footpath, dem man kilometerweit folgen kann. Die Landschaft ist absolut atemberaubend. Es ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Francis ist ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, der uns mit frischen Blumen willkommen hieß. Danke für einen unvergesslichen Urlaub.

Just what the doctor ordered

After 18 months at home, we needed refreshment. This cottage could not be more beautifully situated. Views over the sea in most directions, twenty minutes down the coast path to the beach. But we also needed comfort and warmth. The cottage was cosy and all amenities provided. The owner was especially kind, knowing that we needed a good central heating system for reasons of health. A wonderful holiday to savour just before winter really set in.

Characterful cottage in a great location

We had a great stay at Francis's cottage. Full of character and a great location with a lovely walk over the cliffs to Crackington Haven. We were here in late October and the cottage was very cosy, especially with the open fire. Would definitely recommend.

An amazing stay!!

We had such a lovely time staying at Barton Cottage! It’s a lovely house in an amazing location. The views were amazing. The cottage is very quaint but at the same time very modern. Lots of hot water and we were delighted to find a brand new smart tv, which was nice when we had a quiet day at home because of rain. The host Francis was incredibly kind and helpful and showed up immediately when we had a problem with the cooker. He took EXTREME caution due to COVID-19 and always wore a mask and made it very clear exactly which cleaning measures he undertook to keep us safe. It was an absolutely delightful vacation!
