A hidden gem of a property, The Barn is situated just a heartbeat from the picturesque harbour and stunning coastal path in Burnham Overy Staithe. With a membership to the local tennis club, guests will win game, set and match with this choice of hideaway.
Tucked away through an original low arch set in a high chalked wall, The Barn is located right in the heart of this pretty coastal village, popular with birdwatchers, walkers and sailors. The comfortable semi-detached barn is 'upside down', with a lovely triple aspect sitting room on the first floor to take full advantage of the spectacular views to the creek and harbour. With a well-equipped kitchen and large dining area, three bedrooms (king en suite on the ground floor, and double and twin on the second floor), plus bathroom and cloakroom and private garden. Explore the creeks in a kayak, have a summer early evening swim in the harbour (please make yourself aware of the tides, which can change very quickly), play a set or two of tennis on the village courts, stroll along to the local pub for a bite to eat, or catch the Coasthopper and spend a day exploring the delightful neighbouring villages along this beautiful stretch of coastal North Norfolk.

This little gem did everything we wanted from a holiday with two dogs and two boys in tow! Freedom for the children, space to have friends round, quiet neighbours and roads and plenty to do on land and sea.

The Barn
Disappointed that we were only give 1 tea towell for 4 of us and the promised additional ones never turned up
The Courtyard area was very dirty indeed and I suggest you have that cleaned as part of the cleaning.
The house is otherwise very nice and this was our second visit. We love the location.

I have just checked with housekeeping and two additional tea towels were dropped off and were left outside on the table on the patio - Sorry you did not find these.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Norfolk again very soon Larraine!

great location with good facilities
perfect spot for partaking in the super hero competition, plenty of space for 6 adults and 2 small children although there were 2 other beds we could have used for more children. kitchen diner was big and well equipped, the outside space was great with a safe garden for toddlers. so close to the quay and a very short walk to the pub. it was lovely, thank you.

Lovely house great location but needed a really good deep clean.
Building site next door, noisy and likely to last for summer 2018. Men working on the roof above the garden.
Superficially clean but months of dust on flat surfaces. Dog hair and stains on the carpets . Kitchen bin smelly, fridge greasy, food on the floor, toilets clean inside but dirty around the pedestals. Hair in the sink drains etc etc. We had booked for 4 nights we only stayed one night. Real shame it is a lovely house in a fantastic location.

Norfolk Superhero
Brilliantly positioned cottage, useful parking, a nice big garden and plenty of space inside. Perfect for a family or people who want to enjoy surroundings and not worry too much about ruining the carpet. It is not luxurious, and very much practical, but charming. Recommend.
