Set amidst glorious scenery with unrivalled views over Ullswater and the surrounding fells this first and second floor holiday apartment is part of Wreay Mansions, a small exclusive development of homes. The open plan living area is furnished in a contemporary style and is ideal for couples and small families. There are many walks in the area from lakeside strolls and waterfalls to more challenging routes on fells such as Blencathra and Hellvelyn. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

We had a lovely week staying at load pot, during a heatwave. We loved the property and it was well equipped. Parking space was the only main challenge whilst we were there.

After a little confusion around where to park the car and work out which cottage was Load Pot our stay was fine. Lovely location,interior of the cottage needs a little attention,ie,mould staring to form in bathroom, some of the kitchen amenities needed a good clean (kettle and cooker hob ) but overall pretty good,the “welcome pack” made me chuckle,4 teabags,and 2 coffee sachets with two tiny one cup milk sachets !! Some noise from a loud tv from underneath/ to the side of us (hard to work out due to the layout of the cottages where it was coming from) and the toaster tripped the electric out if we had the tv on (I left the tv off to cook my toast) The good :- lovely views from the cottage and the surrounds were kept tidy,no noise in the evenings and peaceful in the mornings, if the small problems could be put right it would be an idyllic place.

lovely cottage +fabulous view few niggles... still gets too light in bedrooms and a few more provisions needed ie loo roll... kitchen roll.... dishwasher tablets etc. also the hot water was unreliable
