Nestled in a quiet side row, Sweet Pea Cottage, a semi-detached property, provides a great coastal holiday base from which to explore the local area and, while its location is quiet, it has lots of local facilities and conveniences on hand. Named after a 12th century Lord, Heacham is situated on a coastal area known as The Wash and is in the heart of lots of beautiful beaches and tourist attractions. For all the fun of the fair, you can head to Hunstanton where the beach seems to literally go on for miles, and you will find a small fairground, traditional seaside amusements and a Sea Life Centre. Norfolk Lavender, Caithness Crystal and Langham Glass are all close by and also within easy reach lies the city of King’s Lynn with its historical old quarter and guided walks. For a traditional seaside resort, you should head to Wells-next-the-Sea, with its narrow gauge railway and picturesque quay. In fact, it’s a great place for pottering, enjoying the mix of traditional and artisan shops and numerous places to eat. Add in National Trust properties and stately homes such as Holkham Hall, great walks and cycle routes, golf courses, bird watching and wildlife viewing opportunities, you will quickly see why this part of the Norfolk coast is so very popular. And, after enjoying interesting and fun packed days out, you’ll be glad you chose cosy Sweet Pea Cottage to relax and unwind in. Shop and restaurant 10 yards, pubs and restaurants 600 yards.

A lovely little cottage in the perfect location, with lots of local amenities and an easy drive to anything else you wanted. Walking distance to a lovely beach. We had a really nice few days here. It was very clean and well cared for. The only reason I’ve marked it down on value for money is because we did pay quite a lot for a 4 night stay in my opinion, but we booked last minute and demand was high so this was our choice. Floorboards are very creaky which was a slight issue with a light sleeping 2 year old! We contacted the owner while we were there and she was very helpful and quick to reply so thank you! Overall I would definitely recommend. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We spent here four days in July 2020, family with two kids. The cottage is perfect for family, has everything what you need to cook and eat (I enjoyed very pretty plates and mugs, it is so important to see beautiful things around during a holiday!), and for spare time (plenty of board games, puzzles, DVDs, books). The garden is large and picturesque, has a round table for 4 people. All the rooms are very cosy, bright and warm. Kids were very happy with their bedroom, another bedroom is also good, the bed, linen an pillows are very comfy, and condition is like new. I already recommended the cottage to my friends, thank you for our vacation! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely place! Definitely go back but a few things did let it down, they are silly things. E. G no towels, only gave us one toilet roll. I know there silly things but it's. Not something I wanna be bringing or buying on holiday.

Sweet Pea Cottage was a lovely cosy base to explore Heacham and beyond. We loved listening to the rain in the conservatory and watching the birds. Then when the sun shone there were lots of coastal bird watching opportunities within a 10 min drive. If you visit definitely check out the local church for some surprising history.

The cottage overall was very comfortable, with everything to meet our needs. The one disappointment was the bathroom. The shower unit had seen better days and it was difficult to have a normal shower. we had to hold the shower in our hands as the cradle was a bit iffy. Also the taps were old and the cold bath tap was badly bent. The wash basin taps dripped. Also the toilet seat needed tightening as it tended to move when you sat down and the seat did not stay up.

Overall we found the cottage to be cosy and warm, although the bathroom would benefit from a refit and a decent sized bath and we found the mattress to be far too soft for our personal choice. Was a bit surprised to be woken up at dawn each morning with sparrows nesting above the main bedroom window. The cottage was in a quiet road and it's location was ideal for exploring the coastline and lovely villages inland. In Heacham itself there are 3 pubs, a social club, fish and chip shop, bakery, takeaways, beaches, local park all within easy walking distance.
