Delightful detached property; pretty garden with seating.
Delightful detached property; pretty garden with seating. Quiet location in village with pub and shop. Some people might like dishwasher and washing machine but it does not have these. Close to Ilfracombe and Combe Martin.
A wonderful holiday base - small but ideal for a couple, with everything on site we needed, even down to cushions for the chairs in the delightful private garden. The cream tea on arrival was very welcome. We asked our hostess Ann for a good week of weather - and she obliged! The local hilly terrain is not for the faint-hearted. One note of warning - the hot water is VERY HOT!

The Hayloft was a great place to stay my only recommendation would be to change the pillows and duvet. The pillows because they are too hard and the duvet is too small for the bed.

Convenient location for exploring the stunning North Devon Coast.
Convenient location for exploring the stunning North Devon Coast. Approximately 1 mile to the nearest beach (steep steps to access) and 2 pubs within half a mile. Beautiful cottage garden with various seating areas. The cottage provided everything you needed for your stay. The only negative is would have preferred a full shower rather than a compromise bath/shower which was difficult to access. Lovely welcome from our host who provided very useful information for our stay along with a delicious cream tea for our arrival.

We couldn't fault our stay at The Hayloft.
We couldn't fault our stay at The Hayloft. Everything we needed in a lovely cosy, compact cottage. The private garden is just stunning, with amazing views and very quiet. Our host Ann was incredibly helpful when our satnav took us on an 'interesting' route through Berrynarbor. Our only issue [which does not in any way reflect on the accommodation itself by the way] was the very narrow and steep lanes round and about. Some driving not for the faint-hearted. We definitely recommend The Hayloft.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hayloft.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hayloft. We loved the hiden away location, and the view of the village and landscape from the living room. It also had a lovely garden and seating area outside. It was helpful to have a private parking space.

A lovely place tucked away in a quiet village, but only a couple of minutes to get to the main road.
A lovely place tucked away in a quiet village, but only a couple of minutes to get to the main road.
The owners are friendly but certainly not intrusive. The village pub which is a short uphill walk away does great food and the people in there are friendly too.
Listening to the variety of bird song around here was fantastic and a real treat for a townie like me. It is a good place if you just want to chill in the local area and it is also a good base if you wish to travel further afield.
