Had a great stay at Mill meadow lovely and clean and well equipped met by very friendly host nothing too much trouble Mill Meadow is very isolated down narrow roads perfect for peace and quiet with beautiful grounds including lake and small river.Downstairs bedroom kitchen and en suite upstairs large lounge both with freesat tvs.Only downside mirror in bathroom too tall and no dressing table to be able to style hair. This was our second visit to Mill Meadow Cottage, and we'll definitely be coming back! Lovely little homely cottage with everything you need. Loved sitting on the decking and listening to the stream and watching the birds, Kingfishers, dippers and a heron. The garden is beautiful.Lots of lovely places near by to visit, particularly enjoyed Lynmouth and Lynton, Ilfracombe, Woolacombe Bay, and Barnstaple shops. Thanks Neil, another perfect stay.

A lovely comfortable cottage for 2 people Ideally situated in rural surroundings for a peaceful relaxing break or walking holiday Very well equipped with everything you need A short drive to the beautiful north Devon coast especially WoolacombeWould recommend
If you are looking for a quiet get away with lovely tranquil surroundings then look no further. My partner and l were looking for a Romantic break in Devon. We came across this quaint and cosy little cottage and we are so glad we booked it. Great relaxation with a lovely brook trickling softly just outside the cottage. Lovely gardens offering great walks around the property. We explored Combe Martin with it's lovely beaches, coves, and exciting history. Don't hesitate to join the kayak trips as you get to learn a lot about the history of the area. The owners of Mill Meadow are ever so friendly and wonderful...we had the opportunity to say hello on our second day and they recommended some good activities to occupy our time there. We felt so much at home my partner and l even forgot our coats in the wardrobe, only realising it the second day after we left! We contacted the owner and asked if he could kindly check if they were there - he did so without a qualm and informed us that we had left them behind! He offered to drop them off with my sister in law all the way in Bickington. A very kind man, thanknyou so much!. This is definitely a home away from home. Lovely local pubs, happy people, what more can l say! Do not hesitate to book. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you Mill Meadow!

Lovely cottage, very quiet and a beautiful area to relax in.
Lovely cottage, very quiet and a beautiful area to relax in. A babbling brook is just outside the bedroom window. There is also a large pond where you can fish and deer can sometimes be spotted from the lounge window on the field just by cottage. The cottage is very remote and there is barely any signal so no mobile phones , good to get away from technology. Everything was very clean and comfortable.
Great base to explore north Devon. Visit the Pyne Arms nearby, amazing food!

The cottage was immaculate with a bottle of wine and a pint of milk in the fridge to welcome us.
The cottage was immaculate with a bottle of wine and a pint of milk in the fridge to welcome us. The ice compartment of the fridge was filled with ice cubes. Some ice boxes do not stay below 0C but this one does. The patio is in the sunshine with comfortable chairs and a table provided. The TV works with FreeSat channels both in the living room and separately in the bedroom. The bedroom, living room and kitchen are well equipped, clean and most comfortable.
We are a couple who can walk up and down stairs easily if we can hold onto a rail. However, we found it difficult to carry food upstairs to the dining area from the kitchen. It would have been better if the bathroom mirror was taller because short people would find it difficult to see themselves in the current mirror when shaving. There was a weak mobile signal from O2 upstairs and outside but not downstairs. There is a very weak Wi-Fi signal from the Bugford Guest SSID available occasionally upstairs. I suggest that a Powerline extender from Bugford to the cottage would be a cheap and effective way of providing a good Wi-Fi signal in the cottage.
Overall, in spite of our problem with the stairs (younger people wouldn't have this problem) we had a most enjoyable time in a well equipped cottage situated in wonderful surroundings.

Loved staying in this small and compact barn conversion. Just right for 1-2 people. Lovely having the stream running down the side of the building. Weather certainly helped over the Easter break. Sat outside soaking up the sun in the morning and the afternoon. Very tranquil.

The place was in a lovely quiet part of Devon, quite close to Coombe Martin.
The place was in a lovely quiet part of Devon, quite close to Coombe Martin. The cottage was well equipped and roomy for two. The WiFi did not work on our iPads, there was a tick to say we had a signal but not fast enough to even download basic data.
At no time did the owners come to see us, which we thought was rather strange!
If you want a quiet place to stay, with a pond, a patio and a field it’s absolutely ideal.

An excellent setting and very quiet. Do be aware that the country roads are extremely narrow to the cottage and driving is hazardous. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. We especially appreciated the wine and milk as a welcome . much recommended.

Lovely cottage situated in a quite area perfect for getting away from the rush of modern life. Sounds of the stream running alongside the cottage a soothing bonus. Mobile phone signal not good if any, but maybe not a bad thing. Nice unobtrusive owners. Would return.
