This secluded rural cottage is in the ideal location to explore the highlands and the surrounding area with all the family.. 4 steps to entrance.
All on the Ground Floor:
Living room: 37" Freeview TV, Open Fire
Dining room.
Kitchen: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer
Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed
Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Bedroom 3: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds
Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for open fire included. Travel cot and highchair. Welcome pack. . Large enclosed garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Torr Caladh is a single-storey, detached cottage with a shared driveway and enjoys a secluded location in the historic village of Glenfinnan. Well-equipped and tastefully furnished, the property ensures all comforts are met for an enjoyable stay. The property is within easy walking distance of the local village pub, the shores of Glen Shiel and the Glenfinnan Viaduct, made more famous from the Harry Potter movies. It’s also only a short walk away from the railway station which holds the Glenfinnan Station Museum, and the West Coast mainline, which has been voted as one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. The property has fishing rights for loch fishing.
The National Trust Scotland Visitor Centre and Glenfinnan Monument are well worth a visit. The 60ft high monument offers breathtaking views over Loch Shiel. Boat trips on Loch Shiel give you the opportunity to see golden eagles, white-tailed eagles, red deer, and a wide variety of other wildlife.
Torr Caladh is a great base to explore the area. Fort William, the outdoor capital of Europe is only a short drive away as is the famous Neptune’s Staircase on the Caledonain Canal. Travelling further west you have the opportunity to enjoy the white sands of Morar and the spectacular coastline of Arisaig. Boat trips from Arisaig go out to The Small Isles and Knoydart, and regular ferries from Mallaig take you to the Isle of Skye. The area has so much to offer so come and enjoy! Shop 6 miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
