This outstanding accommodation provides many personal touches, including its own private hot tub overlooking the grounds, making sure guests have everything they need for a luxury break. The property is within easy walking distance of the village pub and only 3 miles from the quaint fishing town of Ventnor, with its sandy beach and array of restaurants, cafés, bars and local quirky shops.



The stunning Heritage Coast is within easy reach with endless walking routes and cycle paths, including the famous Tennyson Trail. Open top buses pass through the village stopping at regular intervals allowing you to explore all the breathtaking scenery that the island has to offer. Other attractions in addition to the walking, cycling, riding and sailing that are available, include the famous Needles at Alum Bay, Calbourne Water Mill and Queen Victoria’s residence, Osbourne House. Excellent accommodation would recommend to anyone. It worked really well for our three generations. Karen and Brendan were excellent hosts and the welcome basket of local produce was greatly appreciated.

A lovely cottage in a quiet village, set within the grounds of the main, original house.

A lovely cottage in a quiet village, set within the grounds of the main, original house. It was home from home with the exception of a garden for guests to sit in. There is, however, a patio/balcony with a hot tub and some seating. In the end, it didn't matter as the weather was not kind to us! The location is good to get around to all the places you want to visit, even with some road closures due to unforseen landslides and subsequent roadworks prior to our arrival. Karen had provided a well provisioned welcome pack which was great. They were kind and available hosts. Thank you.
