Property was perfect for our group of four couples on a four night stay. Everything was as advertised, property was clean, comfortable and catered well for 8 people,Would highly recommend.Graham
This was our second visit back to Port Fairy after 18 years! Could not have stayed at a better place, the views of the ocean were mesmerising watching the big waves, kids enjoyed the games room and ping pong table. We spent a good time exploring the rock pools directly across the road! David provided great recommendations and suggestions during our stay, thank you! Very homely and clean property! Fantastic stay to our wrap up our trip away!
The house comes with an amazing beach view and is equipped with everything you need. Just a short walk to Pea Soup Beach and a 25-minute walk into town. Location is incredible. David was kind enough to provide a detailed list of things to do and places to eat while in Port Fairy which was amazing and very useful. Would definitely recommend
What a wonderful place to bring the family together. Stunning scenery and plenty of space. A very well equipped kitchen that made staying in very easy, particularly with a baby. Use of a laundry and drying facilities was very appreciated. The distance from town was a very easy drive. There are some beautiful walks around the area.

We enjoyed our stay immensly. The view from upstairs is superb with the Ocean opposite. The house works very well with the individual areas where everyone can escape, the seperate TV room is great, the rumpus with the table tennis table also was well used. Plenty of linen, towels, doonas etc.
Amazing house overlooking the thunderous surf. Beautiful decor, plentiful fire wood that kept the whole place cosy. Nice touch with throw blankets to soften the place with great mood lighting.
All 4 bedrooms are double beds so no fighting over rooms. Wonderful stay, only negative was the taste of the tap water, possibly a filter would be helpful.
Lovely house with everything needed for a great 2 week holiday. Fabulous views of ocean from lounge, kitchen and front balcony. Lovely walks along ocean front, access directly across the quiet road from the house. Wood heater kept the upper floor very warm and cosy. Highlight of our stay was sitting on the balcony wrapped up in rugs to keep us warm, glass of wine in hand, looking at the stunning Aurora Australis from recent solar geomagnetic storm. We could actually see vivid greens, reds and violet. unexpected but right place at the right time. Beautiful.

Our stay at Sea-Lit could not have been more enjoyable, the property itself was lovely and the views amazing. We will definitely be returning to Sea-Lit for another relaxing holiday as soon as we possibly can.
We were 2 families and this house was absolutely perfect .. the house was so comfortable with all the amenities.. the host was very prompt with all the responses , though the weather wasn’t great we could stay indoors and enjoy the house and barbecue.. the views are fascinating and it’s great to sleep with the sounds of the sea !! Would love to go back some day !!

Thanks for the great review Mark, and look forward to hosting you again.
Sea-Lit’s panoramic ocean view is awe-inspiring. The extensive large windows brings the outside in. The modern yet homely house is very clean, well appointed and stylish. There were 7 adults in our group and there was amply space for us all. We loved having the open fire with well supplied red gum. It heated the upstairs very adequately.
Access to the beach is across the quiet road, which is very convenient.
Bedrooms are very roomy and beautifully appointed. The artworks and artefacts are eclectic and so interesting.
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and were reluctant to leave.
Thank you David for creating such a great space for others to experience.
I would highly recommend Sea-Lit. It certainly has the WOW factor.

About the host
Hosted by David Mendelovits
After coming to Port Fairy for many years on family holidays, we bought a vacant block of facing the Southern Ocean in the early 1990's. 10 years later we built Sea-Lit which was designed by a prominent Melbourne architect, to be the holiday house of our dreams. We have used it as a family with now 3 adult children and partners many times over the years, and welcome guests to also have a wonderful and relaxing holiday.
Why they chose this property
Stunning views of the Southern Ocean only metres away, viewed from floor to ceiling windows. Luxuriously appointed with quality furnishings and a gourmet equipped kitchen.
