Spring , and the whales are here! You can often see whales, dolphins and sea eagles from the sun drenched lounge room . During spring mothers and calves are often seen in the bay

Clifftop' is a special 1960's Retro house right above beautiful Tathra Beach.
High cyprus pine ceilings, retro fittings, sunny aspect and shelter from prevailing winds give Clifftop its unique style leaving guests with lasting memories..

The house and garden is lovingly maintained by us (Chris and Bruce) to make your stay special. Clifftop' is a Unique Retro house built by Chris's parents.

The house is perched right on top of the Cliff in Tathra . A large timber deck at the rear of the house overlooks a hidden semi Rainforest Gully, a haven for local wallabies, lyrebirds, honeyeaters and skinks. A wonderland for kids!

Situated in a quiet lane with no through traffic makes it only a 2 minute walk to the beach, Tathra Wharf and Tathra Hotel. It is just a hop skip and jump to the Hotel to charge your electric vehicle and enjoy a lunch or dinner with complimentary music on weekends

The view from the house is stunning, overlooking the beautiful, safe Tathra Beach and yet is very protected from coastal winds.

Clifftop is single story at the front and double at the rear. Under the deck at the rear is a private space with laundry room and a second retro bathroom with toilet and shower. The stunning garden with tree ferns, orchids, cliveas and a huge monstera thicket are features of this space as well as a green maintained lawn both at the rear and front of the house.

Up to 2 dogs are welcomed at Clifftop and house rules apply

The 2 bedroom home features a Queen bedroom overlooking the front verandah with ocean views, and a King bedroom (or split to 2 singles). All linen is supplied

The unique pink and grey retro bathroom has a bath/ shower, with a separate toilet.

A fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, cutlery and crockery ,stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, jug, toaster is like home away from home.

The house has Air con ,digital TV and NBN access with WiFI so you can now work and play while visiting Clifftop.

When you stay at 'Clifftop you are centrally placed to discover the region.
The fabulous bike paths are awaiting enthusiasts and the many beaches and inlets of the region are just bekoning. You can kayak with local guides, fish from your boat, hire a bike for a leisurely ride, play the many beauitiful regional golf courses, dine out at the Tathra Hotel and have coffee in town or at one of the regions interesting towns.

The world is your oyster at Tathra Oysters, the Best in Australia for many years or visit Bega Cheese to take home their exclusive Heritage Cheddar. Visit North of Eden Gin or take a whale watching trip when the whales are visiting in winter and spring.

Tathra has a maritime climate and frosts do not occur at Clifftop. The winters are generally sunny and you can enjoy the morning sun at Clifftop as it pours into the lounge room during the winter months

The Clifftop house is delightful, comfortable, light and charming. It stands in the most exquisite place, facing the sea on one side and the bush on the other. We felt very lucky to be there and had a lovely week of walks and swims. Thankyou to Chris, for an excellent stay. We are missing the sounds of the sea, the parrots and the fine view.

A great beach house, set up on the headland with fabulous views of the water from all of the front rooms. The house was very clean, was pet friendly and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including visits from the local kangaroos each day, in the back garden. A quick walk down the hill to the stairs and you’re on the beach. Just a few minutes walk from the house are a great butcher, general store and pub plus cafes down adjacent to the beach. Tathra is a lovely hamlet - feels like a little bit of a time warp, without the high rise and bustle of many coastal towns. A great place to just relax.

A perfect holiday

Clifftop is just a dream of a place to stay - you can watch whales pass by from the patio, walk to the beach in 5 minutes and enjoy a thoughtfully fitted out and stylish beach house in one of the loveliest parts of the world. We adored out stay and will be back for sure.

Magical stay in a house with spectacular views

We loved staying in this magical house with spectacular views of Tathra beach. It was a short stroll down to the beach for an early morning swim and then coffee every morning. Amazing location. Walking distance to the historic Tathra Pub. Oysters on the cliff opposite the house on our favourite bench. We loved staying at Cliff top house and will be planning our next holiday there soon.

Wonderful Escape

We had a lovely time at this house-its like stepping back in time! The location is fabulous and we were able to walk to both the wharf and the beach easily.We took our labrador and the house was well set up for his needs.The walk from the wharf around the headland was a great morning workout for us all .Garden is beautiful

Quite possibly the best location in Tathra. Very comfortable home with 60's character and detailing. Beautiful water outlook at the front and a sunny decking out the back overlooking a lush garden/gully. The house provides everything you need. An easy walk to the shops, hotel and down to the beautiful beach. We saw whales on the headland walk, one very close into shore. The Tathra Wharf is a great spot for lunch. Although you can't take dogs onto the wharf they have some seating near the road and will bring you a coffee. Christine is a great communicator and a very pleasant host. We'd love to come back one day.

Perfect, relaxed home away from home

We loved staying at your beautiful house. For our family of four it was perfect; from the comfortable beds, very well equiped kitchen, great little retro touches, thoughtful inclusions such as sunscreen and radox in the bathroom, to the beautifully maintained, large garden to wander round in and magnificent views from the balcony (the great view from the kitchen even makes washing up a pleasure!) all the comforts of home are there. Being pet friendly at Clifftop was a big bonus for us as the 4-legged member of our family loved going leash-free on the northern parts of Tathra beach. Our teenaged son loved exploring the many nearby mountain bike trails while we relaxed on the deck with several good books! Our final nights dinner at Fat Tonys was the icing on the cake of a lovely week. Thank you Chris and Bruce.

Great property for a family getaway. It had all the ingredients for a fabulous beach holiday, we even got lucky with the weather. Lots of natural light and nice outlook with sea views and mod cons, including r/c aircon, dishwasher, good wifi, streaming tv and Weber Q topped it off. Can’t wait to return.

Excellent views

We had 9 nights over Easter as a family of four and found the house to be the best location in tathra excellent views, very clean and comfortable, the backyard and deck was a huge surprise. We can’t wait to return.

Clifftop was built by my parents in 1961. The house is a specially designed Retro home with high timber ceilings and large windows. I grew up in this house and it has a special place in my heart. I inherited the responsibility to look after 'Clifftop' in 2008 and I do my best to manage it with loving care so that others can enjoy its charms. I am a horticulturist and have restored the sub tropical gully and garden, which is on going. We have lots of wildlife which is a blessing and a burden when it comes to gardens but they do add a great attraction to the property for visitors.
Tathra is a special town in a unique location with very friendly people .
I live just out of town on another unique property with horses and wildlife. I have the best of both worlds!

Clifftop is a unique Retro Home of double brick, high timber ceilings and spectacular views. Every one who visits Clifftop would love to return and most do. The house has a good vibe with easy living and easy care. It is situated very centrally yet quiet , with no through traffic and very friendly next door neighbours. It is only a short stroll to all amenities.
