Beautiful Clean Home, Amenities Not as Advertised
The home is beautiful and somehow smells wonderful in every room we were in. Initial check in procedure was not particularly smooth. The management company has a representative here in Buena Vista who is supposed to give me the lockbox code. I called before we left Denver and called a few more times during our 2 1/2 hour trip out. Also called the management company and asked them to try to get a hold of the representative . Finally we stopped in Johnson’s Corner outside Buena Vista and tried one more time. Luckily she called me back and told me that there was no lockbox and had to meet me with a key. They were able to drive over within about 10 minutes so I did not have to wait long but it did cause me some anxiety wondering if I was going to have to break into the house or find another place to stay. A lock box is so easy so I don’t know why they don’t have one. Also unfortunately there was no Internet as advertised, there was one single TV in the house, but no cable or anything to attach to it. Not even a DVD player. We have stayed in places without television or Internet but we plan accordingly. Unfortunately my kids had some homework to do on their little school computers and were not able to do it. We Ended up capping off the night gathered around a smart phone watching a show. It will undoubtedly create a humorous memory down the road but I would adjust the listing. All in all though the trip was good .
