We found Highland Cottage to be perfect for our needs. Clean, comfortable, and convenient! The host checked in on us and the cookies they left were a treat. Loved that we could easily walk downtown. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied.

It’s a perfect location with close access to everything lake placid has to offer. Beautiful cottage as well, the price is cheaper compared to any hotel nearby.

Such a great, fully-equipped cottage; close to downtown’s shops and restaurants yet far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. The deck was ideal for morning coffees and an evening glass of wine. Would definitely recommend!

Traveling to Lake Placid for the summit lacrosse classic, I had a wonderful stay at this property. The owner met me shortly after arrival and even allowed my friend to stay who had been displaced from a previous booking. It was clean, serene, and a good value compared to other places in the area. Walking distance to town, mirror lake, and nearby hiking spots. I look forward to staying there again next year.

This cottage is clean and well appointed. The location is fantastic. It is only a short walk to downtown Lake Placid. Walking directly from the cabin, we were able to take a beautiful walk around the the entire Lake Placid and access the hiking trail leading up Cobble Hill. We could grab a take out lunch in Lake Placid and take it back to the cottage. No need to search and pay for parking in Lake Placid. We love the Adirondacks and this cottage made it simple to enjoy Lake Placid.

The host was very attentive and made sure the cottage is equipped in everything you may need plus plenty of blankets for comfort and great music. Our 2nd stay and will be back for sure!

The host Ted was extremely accommodating and the cottage was so well equipped. It was especially nice that we were given chocolate chip cookies, and prosecco on our arrival. The cottage was so sweet and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

Perfect weekend getaway

Such a cozy cabin, and very well stocked with the basics. The location was fantastic too, secluded yet within walking distance of the downtown shops and restaurants. We definitely plan to come back!

Amazing Stay

Highland Cottage is a great local stay in Lake Placid. Yes, the bed is up in the loft and you can’t stand up, but that was no issue for us. We loved the place and will be back.
