Great location for hiking and relaxing. Kitchen was easy to navigate and very clean. We had a really nice time!! Owner is very friendly and communicative.
Very good location to snow parks for the kids. Cabin was about 20 mins from nyack snow park. Location is in a quiet neighborhood and not hard to get to from the freeway. Amenities provided were awesome and house was very clean overall! Our family enjoyed our stay here
We came from Ohio to have a Holiday get together with our 2 sons, daughter in law and grandson, who all live in California.
This house was perfect. The living area is super comfortable and both my sons prepared wonderful meals in the kitchen.
The host was very gracious and the neighborhood is wonderful.

Perfect for our stay
We drove up to Auburn to play golf on an extremely hot weekend (100+). When we got to the house, it was 107 outside. The house was cool and inviting, and very well-appointed. Would definitely recommend it.

Will definitely book in the future!
We came for our daughter's wedding and were fortunate enough to have booked this cozy home. It was very clean and the furniture and beds were nice and comfortable. It snowed heavily during the May 4th (Star Wars themed) outdoor wedding. A hummingbird flew in front of the couple during the vows which was amazing. We had a few hiccups during our stay and the host was so very accommodating. Absolutely loved our stay!
This was our second year flying in from Ohio and having our sons, daughter-in-law and grandson meet us here for our holiday celebration. The space is well set up for cooking and eating meals together and playing games and watching movies/sports. The outdoor space is nice, though we had rain while we were there this year. The neighborhood is quite nice and pleasant to walk in. This is a property we will likely come back to again.
We stayed here with 2 families of 4: 4 adults, 2 7-year olds and 2 4-year olds. It was the perfect set up for us. The home is very clean and comes with almost everything needed; plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, etc. Just a few more basic items would be great such as foil, plastic wrap, and cooking oil in the kitchen as those items are needed by everyone and bringing those basics isnt usually required. But otherwise no complaints! The location is very convenient to get to 80 which takes you right up the mountain for snow related activities. The owners are super nice and responsive via email. We will absolutely rent this house again for a winter vacation!
We really enjoyed our stay here. There were five adults and two children (ages 6 and 8) and we had ample room for relaxing, playing and sleeping. We did lots of cooking and found that the kitchen had most everything we needed for our Thanksgiving meal. Only thing we didn't find was a rolling pin and pie plate. Local thrift stores took care of that! Not far to a grocery store and General Dollar store as well.
Everything was wonderful about the property, beds are comfy couches and recliners are great. The room upstairs with the twin bed has a tv that kept my kids occupied while making dinner.
The only thing that we found odd and that we had to make sure of was the room on the second floor to the right of the bathroom, had a lock that was reversed so the occupant can be locked in the room. And not get out.
When I said no boat ever parking it’s not like it can’t be done, I have a long truck and trailer. I was able to do it but it took a long time with 2 people guiding me. There are two trees in the middle of the driveway that you need to split. There is a chain link fence in front of the property that makes it difficult to pull forward.
The neighbor has his truck parked in a way that makes it difficult to navigate through the trees. It’s his property so not complaining about that.
If you have a shorter rig its way easier. I measure 42 feet so. Not saying anything negative about it just be warned that it’s not boat or Rv “easily accessible “
Our family had a perfect vacation staying at this house. Plenty of space, very clean, and close to the lake. We rented a boat everyday or enjoyed the lake campground nearby. 5 stars. We will be back
The house was amazing and set in a beautiful secluded wooded area. Had total privacy and plenty of room. The hosts have made the house very cozy and had every amenity that you would need. My family and I loved it.
Very cute kitchen and bathrooms with enough shampoo, soap, dish soap, utensils, place settings, spices, bakeware, glasses, etc. for our 4-night stay. Beds were comfy, living room furniture was all reclining and comfy, towels were plentiful.
It was a great place! The house was adorable and super clean! We had an early Thanksgiving there with family from surrounding areas, and we were able to cook the entire dinner as the kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. I would definitely go again if I go to that area!
The property itself was very nice. The home was clean and decorated very nicely. Appliances were new and kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, plastic wrap and foil, along with some spices. Tables and chairs outside for viewing the forest/backyard. Great air-conditioners in the bedrooms which was great as we were there in the summer heat. WiFi is a little slow but that was not a big deal for us.
Upon entering the neighborhood we were a little concerned as some homes were a but run down, but once we got to Lynn's home, we were very pleased!!
This property was a good fit for our family. Overall cleanliness was great. I have my own issues with hair and there was a bit of stray stuff in the towels and tub drain. But for most people, that probably wouldn’t be an issue. Other than that, it was A+ for cleanliness.
The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Neighbor Joe was very kind!! He let us know when to have garbage in the cans so he could take it out for pick up.
The place was stocked with all the amenities a family would need. The only coffee maker was a k-cup style so we had to make a lot of single cups of coffee to satisfy our coffee needs in the morning. Even so, they had all the appropriate equipment for making the cups.
The check in/out instructions were easy to follow. The owners sent me a very kind, welcoming text the day we were to arrive.
Overall, this house was a great deal for the price, definitely a top notch option. We would recommend it to others and would choose it again if we were to visit the Colfax area.
Really enjoyed the cabin. Very clean, cozy yet roomy. Definitely recommend this place for families or couples that would like a change of scenery. We also hiked along the American River.
