Wonderful getaway in the Adelaide Hills
My family had a lovely time at Rabbiters Hut. Our host Annette greeted us with fresh bread with bacon and eggs for our breakfasts, and came by before we checked out to make sure we had enjoyed our stay. The three bedroom house is lovely and peaceful. We explored the local area and visited Monarto Zoo which isn’t far away, well worth the visit.

Thank you Freesia for your great reveiw on the Rabbiters Hut. We do love to share our very interesting region and offer our guests a great experience. Most of all we love it when guests from the city venture further a field and see what our regional areas of South Australia have to offer. Isn't the Monarto Zoo the best.!!!!
The Rabbiters Hut is a wonderful remote cabin with all the mod cons you could want. The hosts were very accomodating and lamb dinner was delicious. Unfortunately we couldn’t have the bonfire due to extremely dry conditions.
What an incredible family getaway, to relax, unwind in nature & recharge! The cottage was so cozy & clean with everything we needed. The hosts were exceptional & went above & beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as it was. The indoor fire was gorgeous & the campfire we booked was sensational! Our boys loved that! Highly recommend - We will be back!
Fantastic property, Annette was an amazing host and the peace and quiet was just what we needed.

Annette leaves no stone unturned when it comes to your stay at the Rabbiters Hut!
She is prompt & precises with the planning & communication, warm & welcoming on arrival, a delight to converse with & can joke & banter with the best. A master at anything she put hers hand to.
The Rabbiters Hut is clean, bright & as welcoming as the host. Everything you could need & more has been considered & provided to be right at your finger tips.
Get away from it all. Noisy neighbours, traffic, work, the hustle & bustle. Sit on the deck or under the stars & enjoy the peace & quiet, whilst only being 20 - 40 mins away from absolutely everything! Adelaide Hills, The Barossa Valley, Mannum, everything.
Can't wait to get back during the winter for a night or two in front of the fire!
After a long day of travelling from KI via the Barossa, the Rabbiters Hut was perfect for our party of 6. Our host welcomed us on arrival with freshly cooked bread. Cooking dinner was easy as everything you could think of was there. We would love to return and perhaps base ourselves for day trips to Mannum, Barossa, Hills etc. in the future. Thanks Annette.
Amazing experience. Felt right at home with the wood fire. Beautiful hosts beautiful property. Felt at home again in the country beautiful wildlife and scenery. Cant wait to come back! Xxx
Rabbiter’s Hut is the perfect spot to explore the Adelaide Hills and Barossa region. Close to everything yet it feels as though you are miles from anywhere. Annette and Bill are the perfect hosts. We loved being able to explore the area and enjoyed making damper on the bonfire. We will definitely be back!
The Rabbiter's Hut is a cozy yet spacious cottage with all the amenities a family could ask for. Far more than just accommodation as the fabulous hosts go above and beyond to ensure your stay is a memorable one.

Thank you for your kind words. It's always a pleasure to host a family such as yourselves. Thank you for taking an interest in our life style and the way we live. For city children to experience and learn rural living gives them a better understanding on how the food bowl works. Thank you for being the perfect guest.

Amazing stay in natural surrounds
Lovely place, with gorgeous hosts. Annette and Bill went above and beyond, treating our ten and twelve year old kids to a tractor ride and lamb feeding. Annette helped our kids make damper, and they set up a beautiful bonfire for our last night. We could easily have spent longer! A fantastic getaway from the city - can’t speak highly enough of the cosy comfort of homemade bread, fresh eggs, wood fired combustion heater and beautiful surrounds. Thankyou so much.

Perfect get-away-from-it all retreat
We booked the Rabbiter's Hut because we desperately needed a few days of peace, quiet and escape from suburbia. And our needs were completely fulfilled. From the first morning, waking up to a gorgeous pastoral view from the bedroom window with a kangaroo hopping past (brilliantly on cue!) the whole weekend was a delight. The place is beautifully decorated, well equipped, very comfortable and has a lovely tranquil atmosphere. Annette was a charming, warm and generous hostess and went out of her way to make our stay a pleasant and memorable one. Highly recommended.

About the host
Hosted by Annette Cameron/William Cameron
Bill and Annette Cameron are your hosts at Rabbiters Hut. Bill is a second generation owner of Tinline Park- the family property on which the Rabbiters Hut sits. Bill and Annette are a grass-roots genuinely warm Australian couple, who will welcome you to their property and enjoy sharing with you a little taste of their family life and history of the farm.
Over the last 25 years Tinline Park has diversified its farming practices. It operations include running beef and prime lambs, but the primary focus is on wool production. Some cropping is undertaken mainly for farm use.
Bill and Annette's passion for sustainability has been evident in the appearance of the property, with improved vegetation over the years, in keeping with the community -based Tungkillo Landcare Group.
The partnership between Bill and Annette is based on the principle that they are only caretakers of the land and it is imperative that they create footprints and opportunities to leave the land better for the next generation.
Why they chose this property
Enjoy a secluded getaway in the Adelaide Hills.
The Rabbiters Hut is the ideal place to get away, relax and experience country life.
Unwind on the verandah of the restored rural cottage or by the fire. Taste local produce from paddock to plate , explore the endless rural surrounds, enjoy bushwalking, bird watching and more.
Situated in the eastern ranges of the Adelaide Hills, just one hour from Adelaide, Rabbiters Hut is located on the picturesque farming property of Tinline Park.
Boasting endless, uninterrupted views of the Murray Plains, Rabbiters Hut is located in the "Tinline Triangle" - just twenty minutes from the world- renowned regions of Barossa Valley, Murraylands and Adelaide Hills.
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
The Rabbiter's Hut was originally used in the 1950s as the home for the 'rabbit man', who was employed to reduce vermin on the property.
Restoration of the cottage commenced in 2011, using local tradesmen, as well as Bill and Annette's eldest son Jock, who is also a builder. The Rabbiter’s Hut was converted into an exclusive and luxurious 3-bedroom cottage, using typical Australian materials such as corrugated iron and red gum from the property.
The cottage is situated three kilometres from the main homestead, ensuring privacy during your stay. However, owners Annette and Bill are available to personally host your stay for an even more memorable and unique holiday experience.
