Great place, great location and very clean. Definitely would stay again! The house was perfect for us and was a great stay for a ski weekend. I will say we felt a little unsure getting nothing from the host the night before, but right at 4 (check in time) we got a text with all the info, and all was well.

Perfect for our needs!

We came to Wakefield for the hydroplane boat races and this house was prefect for our stay: a large kitchen, air conditioning, and close to the lake and town. We appreciated the many thoughtful touches that have been added to make stays pleasant.

Great location for hiking

We had a great stay at this house! It is in the perfect location to go hiking in the nearby mountains. The house was clean and cozy, and had everything we needed to cook our own means and to stay busy while we relaxed. We'll definitely be back to check it out in the winter!

Ski Weekend

Great 2 day trip. Location is so covenient to both Indianhead and Powderhorn Resorts! You are only a block away from the Holiday Station so it was easy to pick up stuff for a quick breakfast. Also there are other restaurants within walking distance.

Fall Colors

This is our go to place. Great location, short drive to skiing and hiking. Home is cozy, kitchen is stocked and beds are comfortable. The Hanson’s are great hosts. Will be returning for ski season!

We stayed here for a weekend in Michigan visiting Porcupine Mtn State park. The location was convenient, the place was very clean (important to us during these strange COVID times), and Mike was very communicative and quick to respond. We would come back!

Annual ski trip

We enjoy our annual ski trip to the UP. Several years ago we discovered this house and we have come here since! The owner is incredibly accommodating and the house has everything to make our stay comfortable! We’ll be back!

Great location

House is very clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for us to get together with family. Also centrally located to Bond Falls, Porcupine Mountains. Many local waterfalls nearby (Potawatomi, Rainbow, Gabbro etc). Black River Harbor is nearby too. We also enjoyed having a bar/restaurant within a close walking distance (best pizza ever!!)
